Living Good bar / restaurant for groups?
Hi all,
Even the AI bots couldn’t answer this one. Do you maybe know the perfect place to host a birthday party that fits the following criteria:
Between Arts District and Beverly Grove, North of the 10 and south of the Hollywood Hills.
Offers casual counter service, where people go up to counter to order individually.
Bonus points if it has some sort of vegan option beyond fries or a side salad
Can accommodate 20-30 people without a prix fixe menu
Any recommendations?
Leave your recommendations below! Let’s hope humans can beat the bots 😭

All Seasons is great if you don’t want to have any meaningful connections or conversations. It’s unbearably loud and chaotic. It’s the IRL version of social Media

Yeah, I definitely agree with you. I appreciate all of the people saying to go there but it’s a difficult spot, especially with the tough parking situation, how packed it gets because it’s so popular, and the loudness.

not sure what time/day you plan on having the event but fwiw, my company did a private party here on a weekday afternoon going into the evening and we got the skee ball room to ourselves for 2 hours which I felt was ample time to talk to everyone before they opened it up to the public. And even then because we started the reservation so early, the brewery was pretty dead for another 1-2 hrs after that.

I would recommend All Seasons Brewing in mid-city — in general breweries are great for big groups. Arts District Brewery would also fit the bill!
Both fit most of your criteria (especially the large group part) but I’m not 100% on the vegan options at Arts District Brewing
I’ve personally been to a few large parties at both of these spots and they’re excellent for the whole “come and go as you please” vibe where everyone can hang together but order on their own tabs.
(Also a bonus that both spots serve regular liquor drinks too so it’s not just for beer drinkers)

Exactly what I’d recommend

Haha I just typed up way too many words saying the same thing and cross posted. Great minds!

So hilarious because I was going to say, the answer is obviously All Seasons Brewing. The food inside is by Chicas Tacos, and they have vegetarian options. https://chicastacos.com/menu/
I had my own birthday party there. If you get there early enough depending on the day you can commandeer a lot of tables, I cannot remember if I "reserved any or not. But people can easily sit together or wander around. It's actually THE perfect place for large groups.

All Season Brewing hits all but I don’t know about the last one. The jackfruit tacos are good!

More a bar than a restaurant but All Season Brewing on La Brea allows group space reservations (20-30 is a lot so not sure if they cap) as long as you go through their site and email them and get confirmation. They also only do tabs at the bar (no wait staff) so everyone can come and go freely on their own tab. It's a full liquor bar as well as beer and wine and the Chicas tacos inside is entirely separate pay as you order counter and offers vegan and vegetarian options on their menu. Parking isn't great (valet or the Lassen's garage but that can get expensive) but ride share is super easy. It is a concrete building so it does get loud with chatter and music when busy.
Also Arts District Brewing is run by the same company and they have a full bar and a counter order restaurant (not sure about vegan or vegetarian options). I can't speak to the reservation or planning specifics as I haven't been there for a group event I was part of organizing but imagine their website can answer.
