Freshwater Murder Beans Dinner
The precision, skill, and execution is fascinating every single time.
Had these guys for just over a week and I love them. They just hover about like little blimps 😂💚

I dont have anyone in my life who shares my hobby, the only feedback I ever get it "wow thats a big fish tank".
Any advice or feedback is appreciated!
Stock:
Over filtered, and moderately planted in my opinion.
Thanks for looking!

I know they won’t serve any purpose other than aesthetics, but will it be a massive issue? I collected an assortment of shells, dead coral, gravel etc. from a rock pool the other day for my tank. To my understanding, If I boil them (slowly, as to not break the shells) that should get rid of any bacteria and they’ll be fine to add to my tank. I have a planted freshwater tank with lots of aquasoil. I want to remove atleast half of the aquasoil and replace it with a sandy substrate instead to brighten up the place. Then put gravel/ shells on top of that. I’m sure my betta will appreciate the gravel, but Is there an underlining issue with this idea I should be aware of? Should I replace the aquasoil entirely? The only things that come to mind are 1. Sharp edges. 2. It will be harder for my loaches to burrow. Though my loaches, strangely enough, have not burrowed at all since I got them. They stay on top of the substrate searching for food, but every now and then will swim around the tank. So I’m not sure if it will affect them THAT much.
Current tank inhabitants: kuhli loaches, mystery snail, heaps of trumpet snails, otocinclus catfish, a female betta.
(I’m dealing with the algae, dw)

My son is autistic and for the last year has been collecting lizards, geckos, freshwater fish, tadpoles obsessively (we live quite remote, so lots of wildlife etc.) I'd like to set this up to support him and create a fixed space.
I've purchased some initial gear, but am thinking of building a timber frame around the tanks to stop tempted hands and hide lighting etc. How would you approach this?
TL:DR -> Tank ideas/construct for 10 year old son who is an avid collector.

I made my own stand for this 55gal. My biggest regret was not documenting my process. I just wanted to be quick. But now that I have the tank up. I’ll document everything part of the process going forward. Now for the question, I know it’s tradition to put a background on the tank but I didn’t realize how much I like the exposed bricks. How are y’all feeling about the background

You guys said I needed a bigger tank for my goldfish so I found a deal for a 100gal tank and came with 3 different filter systems the MarineLand C360 and the 2 you see in the picture the C360 had a horrible leak in the lid but does work I'm going to try and reseal it and use it instead of the 2 that are on it now. Any real plants you guys would recommend that are fairly slow growing would help thank you.

This is my kribs first spawn, they started in a humble 10 gallon. They've been upgraded to a 20 long!
I still wanted to keep it planted and comfy for them even though it wasn't the size I wanted.

My relatives tell me that my aquarium of 60l has too much plants and that, it is the reason of the death of 5 guppies on a span of 3 weeks.
I have the impression that the antialgea that i was recommended by my local shop last month could explain some deaths.
My GH is usually high at 14 -21, I should probably use water from a shop but is really not easy me to get that.
Co2 is always inferior to 15, a co2 injector is in my sense too costy for such a small container
Guppy used to be easy to accommodate but now require more care ? I used to have fishes 30 years ago.
What would you advise me ? Thanks a lot !
