I can’t help but admire the coincidence that it all take place near Christmas.

There’s a reason why the fall of the Soviet Union was considered to be America’s greatest Christmas gift. But I do wish it collapsed on New Years 1992 for symbolic’s sake.

It’s funny, yet fitting and kinda cool how the fall of the USSR is America’s best Christmas gift. A shitty and evil rival had finally collapsed after all. And I agree that it’s should’ve happened during the new year. It feels more symbolic and cinematic.

Being a little bit nitpicky here does feel really off about the fact that the USSR ceased existing before the Mongolian People's Republic or the SFR Yugoslavia. Especially considering the MPR was a sattelite state of the Soviet Union.
