Why do you write "appriciate" when you, in fact, don't 😆 Anyways, i don't think you are overreacting.

Not everyone wants to have a personal relationship level with colleagues. You made it very clear that you don't want to receive such detailed updates in the future. And also that you should keep the relationship at a professional level.
