Honestly, even the smallest moose is enormous. People genuinely don't understand just how giant these animals are. If you see an actually Unit-sized moose, you'll know it immediately.

A
babyteen moose is horse-sized. Most people don't understand that.[Corrected size]

Well, that's not quite true. They're about 2.5 feet tall at birth. By a year old, they can get to be 6' tall, but by that time, they're like 7 or 8 in human years (hardly a baby).

Tbf all moose are absolute units

u/PronouncedEye-gore 3d ago
Then they would be an absolute unit of a deer. But that's still not huge for moose at all. Not a unit for sure.

How many times do we have to say this on this sub: this is a normal moose. Moose are huge.

A wildlife corridor connects two areas of "natural" land enabling species to move between the two areas converting two small islands of nature into a larger zone. There are benefits not just for the species, but also for the people using the general area. https://youtu.be/Rngz5PYoG4E

Was in a major accident on HWY 1 from Anchorage to Eagle River years ago. Why? Moose cross roads when they want. Even major HWYs!
Moose does what Moose wants.

I've seen them in Western Montana when I was visiting family. Pure insanity how large they can get. We have Roosevelt Elk out where I live and those things are twice the size or bigger it seems!

Oh dear, I've never seen one in person, thankfully. I'd lose my mind, ESPECIALLY if that's an average moose.
