Is it bad that I enjoyed Carry-On?
Obviously, it portrayed the TSA as wildly more competent than they are and is blatant copaganda, but as a thriller, I enjoyed it. I feel a bit guilty about that, though.

My small town’s police department has invested significant time and money into its K-9 unit, including the dog, vehicles, and all necessary equipment. However, I’ve noticed that the dog barks constantly—even when not working, while in the car, when my kids walk by, and at other times. There have also been eyewitness reports of the dog failing to detect hard drugs during vehicle searches.
Is this typical behavior for a working police dog, or are we essentially dealing with a pet?
The townspeople often praise the dog for its work, and while I’m not supportive of law enforcement, I don’t want to be overly critical. But as a taxpayer, I feel it’s important to ask if this is a justified expense when the budget is reviewed.

Douglas Harless shot and killed in his home by police. According to the murdered man's brother, the cops were at the wrong house. The warrant wasn't for the man who defended himself. I know you can't always believe the "rumors on FB" but something stinks here.

Investigators detailed how officers sexually assaulted women, mistreated the homeless, exploited poor people, threatened and abused minors, taunted and arrested people suffering from mental and behavioral health episodes and punished protesters exercising their constitutional rights to free speech — especially those who denounced police violence.
“Police killings, as terrible as they are, are relatively infrequent. But these other types of abuses are happening every single day to hundreds, if not thousands, of people,” said Christy Lopez, a former Justice Department official who oversaw the federal investigation into the Ferguson, Missouri, police department in 2014-2015. “They’re not minor just because they’re not deadly, and they’re much more prevalent.”

A Mesa officer being sued for a chaotic arrest that left a man unconscious at a quinceanera has a history of use-of-force complaints and was previously featured on a challenge coin that appeared to celebrate police violence.
Officer Rudy Monarrez was one of seven officers specifically named on a challenge coin previously exposed in an ABC15 investigation.
He’s also been either counseled or reprimanded multiple times in the past for his use of force or improper conduct on the job, records show.
Monarrez has been with the Mesa Police Department since 2017.
During his seven-year career, the officer has been internally investigated seven times, according to an internal document summarizing his history of complaints.
His record shows no suspensions but includes lesser disciplinary actions.
Monarrez is also under a current internal investigation but details about that probe are confidential because the case hasn’t been completed, records show.
In 2023, the officer received verbal counseling for “unnecessary or improper use of force,” records show.
In 2020, Monarrez was counseled again for “conduct unbecoming.”
And in 2018, he received a written reprimand for an incident involving officers knocking another man unconscious. That man, Robert Johnson, filed a lawsuit and received a $350,000 settlement.
Johnson’s lawyers also discovered there was a related challenge coin.
One side of the challenge coin said, “DOING IT RIGHT DESPITE THE HYPE.” The other side said, “INGLORIOUS BASTARDS.” It included the last names of seven Mesa police officers accused in excessive force cases.

Apologies if this isn't the proper place for this post, but I'm unsure of where else to go. I think I'm being targeted by a fed, but I need another's opinion on the matter. I have screenshots, but I don't want to post them publicly in case I'm wrong. Is there anyone here willing to help me determine the truth?
