A lot of back pain...is this normal?

I just did Week 1 Day 1 yesterday, and I've been having A LOT of back pain since then, in my upper back. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance for any information/advice!

This subreddit is pretty dead.
If you have back pain there could be multiple reasons why:
1) Poor form. This could be the main reason most of the time, because of the exercise type.
2) This is you first day, so your body is just not used to it
3) not strong enough back? Can be improved by planking or dead lift.

Notice that if you have pain in you spine that is bad. Stop the exercises and have rest for a few days and do strengthen your back maybe afterwards.

There are also other exercises for your triceps that don't put strain on you back. Try searching for them and do them instead.

Also notice that I'm just an average person not some gym master. Google "bench dips back pain" for info on this topic.

I'll be the first to say that the most probably cause is your form. You have to reduce the space between your ass and the chair/object.
