Stealth? lol.

Killing everybody with random objects is way more fun. Giving people Jeff Jarrett guitar shots is hilarious.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks about Double J while smashing geetars over the heads of slapnut Nazis lol

My only complaint is the guitar sound is too realistic. IE just crunching wood. I want a cartoony "bong" sound like El Kabong

Its especially cooler when the person you are killing by smashing a violin into their head is a nazi

I mostly used stealth in my first playthroug and now, on the second I'm going loud. The game opens up so much more, especially on the hardest difficulty when multiple enemies attack you and don't wait their turn. Using the environment, whip, punching, shooting etc is incredible fun and got a great flow

I adored the game and loved every minute of playing, but I found it very funny when I would be sneaking around and Gina is just standing out in the middle of area surrounded by bad guys lol

I actually appreciate that shit so much.

I hate when NPCs can break my stealth. I’m sure there’s a better way but yeah. I’m cool with it.

Skyrim nightmare flashbacks

The last of us 1 did the same thing. I guess some immersion break is worth not having a slog of a game experience.

I've realized I love these single player games with multiple ways to get through levels and stealth optional. Started the Dishonored series just before this came out and about to finish the first one. Looking forward to the next two and finishing Indiana Jones.

I absolutely loved how interconnected the maps were within themselves. There were usually multiple ways to get to where you wanted to go. I found myself exploring and finding an easier way than I used to get somewhere often.

The genre is called immersive sims.

Have you tried Deus Ex Human Revolution and/or Mankind Divided? If not, you should try them.

Great game, but nothing about the stealth was high stakes, the stealth felt less polished than Batman Arkham Asylum

Its a stealth game parody imo. Fits the character of the movies and therefore its fun. When i would rate this game as stealth game it would be a 3/10.

The standards for stealth is games are so low that people don't even understand what makes good stealth anymore. Running around in plain sight killing dudes with shovels is not stealth. It's fun but it's not stealth.

If by approachable you mean the terrible enemy AI can't see you approaching, then yes. It is a great game but the flaws are the same we seen in all the trailers: the enemy AI, the combat and stealth are all jank. All of this could have been fixed by going 3rd person (and the game looks best when you see him climbing so it's really weird). Everything else is great though (exploration, cut scenes, story)...well there are are some funky looking NPCs also. A solid 8-8.5 game, which is GREAT, but those AI, stealth and combat issues are too large to be a 9 for me.

This game made me miss Dishonored so much.

Glad it's not just me that thinks the enemy AI is bad!

Me yesterday: "Wow how do I sneak past all the guards outside the compound to follow Voss?"

Crouches and walks in a straight line through the front gate without being seen in broad daylight

"Wat?!?"

For better or for worse, we have Outlaws and Indy and there is a pretty stark contrast in these two games that tried basically the same thing.

No. 3rd person is awful imo. First person just works.

Third person is way better for stealth games. If Splinter Cell, Metal Gear Solid, Hitman or the Batman Arkham games ever went first person, I'd shit.

Please tell me what game you consider has good stealth mechanics? Cause I thought indy is pretty good! Maybe try playing a harder difficulty?

Man…. These enemles do not even see you if you crouch 10 inches in front of them in broad daylight. And even then the yellow detection circle fills so slow that you can literally run away. Calling it stealth is ridiculous. Its hide - walk to them - hit in their faces - walk away. You ever played metal gear V? Do yourself a favor. Thats open world stealth in perfection. Indy is parody stealth.
