Game Capture Indiana Jones is such a fun game. These moments are straight out of a movie Spoiler

I kept failing this mission because I didn’t realize I was supposed to go leave the gun and run off the wing.
I kept failing over and over trying to just shoot the plane down. 🤣

Yea, I sometimes miss dialogue cues in the game because it can be so quiet compared to the surroundings.

For some reason the game defaults voice to 80/100. It was easier to hear dialogue when I put it to 100/100.

That jump would not work irl. The planes would move past you and Indi would die. Plane needed to be quite a way behind

Mate most of the stuff in this game wouldn't work IRL. The way your plane takes off in the first place would never work either. We're talking about a game with a seemingly indestructible whip, magic stones and shit.

I remembered the shot from a trailer from months ago, so I knew what to do. 🤷🏽♂️

There’s a reference to The Last Crusade if you shoot your plane’s tail. Nice touch.

u/Taller_Ghost_Joop 1d ago
I was purposely not shooting the tail BECAUSE of the Last Crusade lmao

u/Not_a_Ducktective 1d ago
Haha, me too. I figured they'd add something like that and was not let down when I was unable to dodge the tail every time I shot at a plane. Got a solid smirk from me even though I knew it was coming.

Theres also a file on his father that specifically talks about his work on the Grail is leading nowhere.

I accidentally shot the tail of the plane and Gina asked, “why was that?” Indy answered with classic Indy “uhh they got us.” I laughed out loud.

The moment where the same seamlessly nudges you to recreate the iconic 'bringing a gun to a knife fight' moment is a stroke of genius. Whoever thought of that, and however executed it to perfection, I applaud you. That was fucking terrific.

u/DarthTigris 1d ago
... not sure to what you are referring to. The game has so much openness to it that many of our experiences will be different.

u/OMG_NoReally 19h ago
It's in the Shanghai level, where you drop into this area with nothing on you (not even the whip) except a revolver, and a guy pops up with a sword and charges at you. The game clever nudges you to recreate the iconic scene from the movie without holding your hand or prompting you to do it. I instinctively went for the revolver and shot the dude, and then realized what just happened and laughed.
I guess that scene could be played out differently but the revolver would be the most effective way go about it. Sheer genius on the designers there to include this in such a beautiful, subtle way.

As someone that fired a gun like 3 times in the whole game, it wasn't my natural inclination and I punched the guy down. I ... I failed the Jones legacy . . .

Haven’t gotten the chance to play yet but the movies straight up made me choose archaeology as my career

Im a lifelong Indiana Jones fan and was apprehensive as hell about how good the game was going to be. Im very happy to say they absolutely nailed it with this game! They absolutely captured the feel of the movies, the game is GREAT!

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an instant classic. I love exploring tombs and dungeons! I hope Bethesda uses the gameplay as a guide for the next Elder Scrolls.

It’s a great surprise. They should just keep making these instead of actual theatrical releases. Indy will never get old and there are tons of ways they could go. The sound effects are spot on as well, and melee combat is a lot of fun.

Use the "Spoiler" tag please...
Thank you for spoiling the surprise, I didn't reach this part of the game yet...

This is what you call a spoiler? It’s a 30 second clip of gameplay. It’s not like he showed you some big twist in the story. You might want to avoid the internet if this constitutes spoiling the game for you.

It's a gameplay sequence that is a spoiled surprise for me now, especially since it's not early in the game, I don't think it's too much to ask to put a spoiler tag for gameplay sequences which are after the first level, people don't progress on the same pace.
Now the OP or the mods reacted and put a spoiler tag, so it's good for other people who have not reach this part of the game yet and won't have this sequence spoiled.

It's just a pity it's completely bugged to fuck. Waiting on a patch for The Blessed Pearl mission as I can't progress the mission, and yes I tried going back to the village to Sunan.

u/ManicFirestorm 1d ago
Weird, I haven't had any major bugs.

That's good man. Love the game, I just wanna finish it and get the 1000GS now. Also I can't Larry anymore and Indy won't climb ladders for. Old maps are ok but Sukhothai is completely bugged for me.

the wall part in the cave? im really waiting for a patch for that :( at least i had plenty of side stuff to do , so hopefully its patched out asap
1
u/hanohead 20h ago
Yeah that's part. I left and completed any side content I could as well but now I'm stuck waiting on the patch lol

u/pcj 13h ago
Guessing you got stuck waiting for Gina to find the hidden entrance? I had to force it to load an earlier save to get that to work.
1
u/hanohead 10h ago
No I'm stuck at the part after Voss captures her. Won't go through the gap in the wall.

Every time I push someone off a ledge my controller dies and the game pauses. Definitely the game because it’s the only time it happens.

Just a shame it's super boring. I enjoyed the Vatican and explored it and fully fleshed out the exploration, taking pictures of the cats and solving puzzles and being super stealthy but then I got to Egypt and I'm expecting just a bit..more than that last section? But no it's just a new coat of paint and I'm expected again to just punch more nazis and somehow try to care about the people I'm meeting. Idk, game just dropped off for me on holding my attention which is a shame as it plays so well and looks so good.

LMFAO what that was lame who tf gets out of a plane to fistfight someone on the wing

u/INF3C71ON 16h ago
What am I not getting with this game? I found it incredibly redundant and boring for the first few hours. Pickup weapon, sneak around, knockout guy, repeat. Can someone please explain? Does it get better? More nuanced?

I'm honestly really impressed with the Shanghai level. They went through so much effort to model an area that you spend like 15 minutes in. The flying sequence alone must've cost a fortune to make.
