They're perfectly normal sized

Lol. The 8BitDo Ultimate at least feels perfect for me and I have big hands.

Bonus for the hall effect sticks.

Small hands. Smell like cabbage

But it’s not wireless. If I’m letting my 4 year old play on the console, I don’t want cables laying across the room. That’s a recipe for disaster.

That's how the OLD days used to be😂😂

True. But in the old days if your sega megadrive came off the TV unit it would be fine most of the time. If my Xbox goes flying now, that’s £450 worth of hardware done.

Hence why the original Xbox controllers and the 360 wired controllers came with those nice breakaway cables.

Yep, fantastic feature

No, it isn't. The Sega Mega Drive, adjusted for inflation, costed $460.

Ignoring the cost, those old consoles were a lot more robust, mine came off my tv unit a lot when we were kids. They just bounced.

I always see some seriously dinged up Xbox Series on sale. I'm guessing the only thing that would fail is the disc drive.

Disk drive, fans, potential for cables to get knocked loose or debris to get inside them.

It's more that they had less moving parts lol

If I’m letting my 4 year old play on the console

Why would you let a 4-year old go near anything internet-able without supervision? Now that's an even bigger recipe for disaster.

Because parents who actually know their tech already set filters up. My kid had his own gamertag at 3 with accounts all managed by me.

Does this controller not just have a USB-C port that the wire plugs into? I just bought a gamesir that is wired, but it unplugs at the controller.

At what point did I say without supervision?

So you are incapable of supervising your child's interaction with a cable?

I honestly did not expect that.

Kids are a fucking nightmare. They do things you wouldn't expect with little or no warning, they don't listen, they get distracted, they just generally do stupid shit. The only way to stop them is masking tape.

It's really weird you're being judgemental about someone not really wanting a wired controller and their reason for it

Dude come on let's be honest, if you can't control a kid and a cable when you are sitting right next to them - while "supervising" - then you probably should reconsider fatherhood.

I would love for some aimed at people with bigger hands. I use an Elite 2 and it's just OK. I tried the 20th Anniversary model for about a week, but that slightly smaller shell was too small for my liking. I couldn't find a comfortable grip around the triggers in Forza, and my hands ended up being a bit cramped after playing for a while. If they ever refresh the Elite, I hope they don't move to the smaller body for this reason.

Ok, but make it wireless. Didn't Microsoft open up the protocol like a year ago?

I'm glad there's a controller that fits smaller hands but holy fuck is that thing ugly.

It's for kids mostly, most of them like this sort of thing.
