Community Weekend 🫡 You were better than anyone could have asked for
In July of 2017 I saved up enough cash to buy my own Xbox one S. In awe of my first big purchase, I ran home to boot it up. Over the years I've met countless people, made friends, and I've played some of the best games I will ever know. Thanks to my 500gb Xbox one S, I've been able to create memories that have shaped who I am today. This Christmas, I was gifted the Xbox series X. I love my family, I don't think they realize what an immaculate gift this is to me. The first game I played on my S was Overwatch. My first game on the X will be Marvel rivals. We grow as time passes, it's hard to notice what changes. We are constantly faced with situations that will further cement who we choose to be. Live life. Breathe air. I know some how we are gonna get there. And it will be wonderful.

Such a great upgrade. Going from that slow HDD in the One S to the lightning fast NVME in the Series X is a game-changer alone. Quick resume is magical too.

Exactly. I remember hearing the HDD spinning. I was blown away with how quick things were loading. I feel like a dog that has actually caught a car. 🙏 Thank you

After my og xbox one died playing witcher 3, I got a white One S. I've been wanting to upgrade for years but financially never been able too. Retrained and landed a new job in July so got my wife a PS5 for her birthday to say thank you for supporting me through my education. Yesterday i unwrapped a Series X and can't wait to boot it up shortly.

Sorry to hear about the old system dying, even if it was older, it's never a good feeling to lose something like that. I'm so happy for your situation now, I hope you have some awesome game nights with your wife, the future is bright!

How did you hold out so long? I had to use a Xbox One S today and it was painful. The Xbox One CPU was junk when released over 11 years ago, never mind today. But the SSD is the biggest improvement. I sat for 5 minutes waiting for some games to load. Agony.

I posted this to honor the old Xbox. It was old, but she was perfect. As long as I could load into a game (minutes after everyone else) I was happy. Before this Xbox, I could never imagine what next gen gaming was like. You are correct though, the SSD is massive, I'll never see low specs again. I can't see it ever fading.

I have a friend who kept getting kicked out of our Warzone games because his One S loaded too slow, he got a used Xbox One X and it helped enough to get him by.
I think the SSD in the Series X is at a minimum 40 times faster than the old hard drives. Crazy fast.

Yup, everything is faster. You just reminded me of a time I was playing Warzone zombies (I think this is the second last game to come out), and i would load well after my friend, but we both loaded on an airplane that was landing. My Xbox had a 50/50 chance of spawning me under the airplane. So id either die to fall damage, or take 10 minutes out of the run while I swim/get to the landing point.
No more of that!
