Can’t wait for the next Mexican World Cup. I might actually be willing to travel and spend money in the local economy and not feel bad compared to this corrupt shit. Fuck FIFA, one love.

Some, but most aren't.
Edit: Why the downvotes? I know mexican fans who have gone with over the top dress like this. The Qataris filled the numbers at the start before most fans arrived, but now the national fans are there the actors are only a few extreme ones

As a soldier in the US army deployed through 03-04, I was in Qatar for a bit to recover for occasional relief, with my division being headquartered there. That place is oppressive as fuck, and worth the criticism they receive. From gender segregated seating, to much worse, this is one more muslim country that should get fucked so humanity can pass the theocracy hump.

I support the idea of reform for Qatar, but I think saying another “middle eastern country getting fucked to fix humanity” is very genocidal and would only exasperate fundamental Islam there.

These dictatorial regimes are thanks to US petrodollars. The Washington will not just tolerate but collaborate with these countries. Islam is just the means fir the dictator legitimizing their rule, just as Christianity has been used in European monarchies.

I'll never understand this shit. Mexico's pride embedded with soccer. It's a shit boring sport.
18
u/teious Nov 25 '22
Yes, most popular sport in the planet is boring. I'm sure you have the expert opinion on what's actually fun and everyone else is just wrong.

u/DontWorryBoutMainame Nov 25 '22
Well yeah. People are shit. What do you expect? Really now.

u/lionking8998 Nov 25 '22
If you hate people in general why are you complaining about this one culture specifically. I also don't understand how people are being shitty if they're celebrating where they were born or raised.

My parents are Mexican. I'm American. My complaints not the culture but the sport and how embedded culture is in it. It's an old boring sport. I'd rather watch medieval MMA. I believe sports CAN unify and maybe fight future wars. Who knows, but soccer ain't on the future list. Overpaid shit sport.

That’s one sweet bass drum. I got to say it I love people from Mexico. The good the bad and the ugly.
