Lots of xenophobic users are showing up to share their anecdotal hate against other nations.

If you want to come here to imply a population of people are wired to be terrible to women or want to scare others from traveling the world then please don’t comment.

This isn’t r/noahgettheboat or r/hatebownpeople. This is a happy video sharing a unique culture with the world. If a user can’t stand to see such an interaction without bringing up degeneracy then I worry that user won’t be a good fit for this subreddit.

Thanks.

Until you leave it's still Schrodinger's kidnapping

I bet the food was delicious

I don’t know a word for the food in the video, but those types of foods always look so appealing to me but my palate just can’t handle it.

Although I’ll eat gyros and hummus all day.

The green soup is called molokheyya. It's a traditional Egyptian dish that is eaten with rice or bread. Alongside there's often some sort of meat, chicken or rabbits.

Arabic food is like pizza. Even when it's bad it's still pretty good.

Right? That looked like a delicious spread

Been there, done that, and more.

I found the poor Egyptians to be some of the friendliest, most hospitable people I have ever met. The number of times they fed me, gave me place to sleep and just enjoyed my company in my visit was astonishing, allowing me to repay their kindness only with huge reluctance.

The middle-classes, not so much.

Reminds me of a story, the name of the story was Hansel and Gretel, I think.

Do attempt this in Sweden but know you’ll most likely get picked up by a polish trucker. And just know you won’t get dinner by a Swedish person fyi

Having faith in Humanity is so hard, but seeing moments of pure kindness warms my soul. I truly hope we as a race can aspire to be this kind and compassionate.

Last time I tried to hitch in the US(2002 age 19), I ended up walking for almost a month through mostly desert in CA. Plenty of traffic passing by or or even chucking trash at me. America is garbage.
