How the hell did the teacher or school staff tolerate this lmao. My teacher would have told him to shut up the the second day and give a suspension the third day.

u/altcntrl North America 🌎 Jan 08 '22

I think acting out is more accepted if it’s harmless.

I remember kids being sent home for dyed hair in middle school…because it was “distracting”.

All those dumb fucks retired and now acting out is tolerated with nuance.

122

u/Viking-Jew Jan 08 '22

It’s also possible he’s a really good student during class so his “warm up” act out is overlooked because it’s actually pretty funny to hype up a class a lot of people think of as “nerdy”

68

u/crispinoir Jan 08 '22

orr.. quite simply.. the faculty there is chill as hell

10

u/RealKingOfEarth Jan 08 '22

It’s probably a private school with absurd tuition

30

u/HauntedCS Jan 08 '22

That's a drastic assumption. We had tons of teachers that encouraged students to get hyped up like this. Obviously there's a line, but it was a public school and lots of students would act out similarly, scream-asking how the teacher was. Not every public school teacher has a stick up their ass.

7

u/RealKingOfEarth Jan 09 '22

I was actually basing it more on price of his outfits and classroom size

3

u/Faustus_Fan Jan 09 '22

Do you think all public schools are filled with people wearing burlap sacks and being taught in broom closets?

15

u/Boodger Jan 08 '22

This is almost certainly the case. If this kid is acting this crazy for the rest of class, no way he is allowed to do this much longer. If this is simply his entrance, and is otherwise chill and respectful the rest of class, it becomes endearing to the teacher.

5

u/WikidTechn9cian Jan 08 '22

It seems to lighten the mood for some

9

u/PM_ME_UR_AMOUR Jan 08 '22

As a teacher, I’d join in. Hyping himself, me and the class up is a great start. Gotta remember the reason of school is to learn and love learning. You have to enjoy learning new things rather than what the topic is. Even a boring topic could be made fun if there’s hype to it.

2

u/Viking-Jew Jan 08 '22

Totally agree! I was never so great at chemistry & physics grade wise in high school, but they were still two of my favorite subjects. I loved the topics themselves a lot (still do to this day).

15

u/altcntrl North America 🌎 Jan 08 '22

I would consider that harmless like I said.

-2

u/Redrocks130 Jan 09 '22

Teacher here. No. This is not allowed. I don’t need the class hyped up thank you.

5

u/Viking-Jew Jan 09 '22

Well aren't you a Debbie Downer... Social Studies/History I presume?

1

u/DandyLover Jan 12 '22

Nah, thas a math teacher.

1

u/Faustus_Fan Jan 09 '22

Also a teacher myself, and I would definitely allow this if it was the only "annoying" thing the kid was doing. It's harmless, adds a bit of fun to the start of class, and doesn't hurt anyone. Provided he wasn't acting out for the rest of the class, I don't see a problem here.

Hell, I have a student who comes in, every day, with a new "question of the day." Friday's was "Mr. Faustus, would you rather lose your ability to taste things or smell things?" We spent a few minutes at the beginning of class discussing it, then I went on with Shakespeare.

Being a teacher does not mean being incapable of letting kids have a bit of fun.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

This is how I prefer to parent.

Had so many stupid rules as a kid, so you learn to just ignore a ton of rules, if they don't mean anything why bother following them?

As a parent, I don't make pointless rules. If he's acting out, it isn't disrupting class, he isn't hurting anyone, then why start an issue over it?

1

u/altcntrl North America 🌎 Jan 08 '22

Its inherited parenting methods from older generations that hate fun because that’s how you die. Work and be super serious types and occasionally say “look out for this guy”.

I was told to be quiet and in trouble a lot for not being quiet so this resonates a bit too much with me.

1

u/beanieon Jan 15 '22

Yea they seem even supportive, he seems dedicated to doing it let him do his thing.

13

u/L_O_Pluto Jan 08 '22

He’s promoting excitement for the subject. If he’s otherwise a good student who doesn’t interrupt class, i would bet top dollar that teachers love him

44

u/BrickTamland_ Jan 08 '22

I teach Chem and I think by the third day I would’ve started to cue up some music

18

u/futterecker Jan 08 '22

right here. i would totally jump in on it haha, starting the lesson with a good time! :)

2

u/stlkatherine Jan 08 '22

You good teach, methinks.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

Excited about chemistry thats why. I hated chem in high school. Didn't like it till i was getting second bachelors (i know, fuck me, right?)

-10

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

imagine if it was a girl doing this, the amount of incel saying she was attwhore, jesus

11

u/baconstructions Jan 08 '22

You're the only one saying that. In multiple places in this thread.

-13

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

Wtf are we supposed to do?

4

u/MajorasInk Jan 09 '22

3

u/OG_PapaSid Jan 09 '22

This is the correct answer

14

u/Vizualize Jan 08 '22

At this point you're going to have to start class with "IT'S CHEM TIME BABY!!!" for a few days to make it so uncool that none of the students would be caught dead doing it.

2

u/murlak_Isengrim Jan 09 '22

Yeah, Do it yourself

He does have a good vibe

31

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

My science classroom was technically a lab room so it had a door that would lead the room next to it. Every day I would walk into the other teachers classroom and say “who’s ready for science” then I would walk into my own classroom and do the same thing.

201

u/Cosmication Jan 08 '22

My mans was just hyped to learn

13

u/ediks Jan 08 '22

I was this dude in calc, but I just walked in quietly... Different times, I guess. Makes me smile to see ppl be excited about science!!

8

u/darkfrost47 Jan 08 '22

My band used to do this thing in the morning where one person would just yell "AYYYYYyyyyyyyyyy" and hold it until everyone was also joining in. Like 350 kids just yelling a monotone "ayyyyyyyyyy" for 6-ish seconds. Apparently the vice principal came over and was trying to get people in trouble but there were too many of us doing it and it was harmless so they just couldn't stop us. After a couple weeks the faculty were just like okay it's team spirit, let's lean into it.
The band director tried to start it himself in the middle of practice one time when we were tired and not feeling it. After one half-hearted "ayyy..." from all of us we barely ever tried to do it again. Not sure if it was just teacher cringe or if it was secretly a big-brained plan but it completely killed it and we barely ever did it again.

3

u/DudeFacetious Jan 08 '22

It would be awesome if after he did it someone was like “chem time? oh shit i’m in the wrong class”

4

u/EdisonM30 Jan 08 '22

Before I turned on the sound, I genuinely thought he was gonna shit his pants…

3

u/runaroundtheblockx Jan 09 '22

This was hard to watch lol. Listen here young bloods. If you are in middle/high school and do this type of stuff. Ya know loud, obnoxious, shit over and over again expecting laughs and praise you’re going to have a bad time. I used to be this kid. I had low self esteem, craved attention, and was very lonely. I just wanted to be seen and loved. But all I did was isolate myself with my over the top annoying shit, then I would complain about being alone or that no girl wanted to date “nerdy/funny” me. It wasn’t until I finally realized that I wasn’t because I was nerdy and funny, but because I was annoying and hard to be around and I was doing it to myself. Seek help, or get therapy if you are having negative thoughts about yourself or act out for attention; remember you deserve love and love will find you, you don’t have to try so hard. But if you just like to have fun and joke around remember to have self awareness and understand that timing, and reading the room is important to comedy and charm.

1

u/DandyLover Jan 12 '22

Nobody seemed super pressed about it, so room was likely read.

2

u/runaroundtheblockx Jan 12 '22

He didn’t read the room lol. After the first few times he did it everyone stopped reacting, other than rolling there eyes, closing their ears, or ignoring his presence. They may not be vocally upset but body language is what “reading the room” is all about. It’s just uncomfortable and awkward to watch.

13

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

-6

u/KatanaPig Jan 08 '22

Na, not really.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

so what would it be?

1

u/KatanaPig Jan 08 '22

It's a kid having fun for 10 seconds of a day. That's it.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

screaming and attracting attention in the middle of a classroom? attwhore

3

u/KatanaPig Jan 08 '22

"Anyone who does anything that attracts attention is an attwhore"

You sound like a miserable person tbh, but you do you.

2

u/Oasis_of_The_Sand Jan 10 '22

Both of these sides are wrong, littlepea666 is taking an annoying thing and saying it’s making him an attwhore, katanapig thinka that it’s ok for him to scream. Personally if someone did that it would be so annoying. Imagine you go to class get Set up to every day here this guy scream for internet clout not caring about my ears

1

u/KatanaPig Jan 10 '22

Imagine giving even the slightest fuck about a 10 second disruption to your day. He also isn't yelling in anyone's ears and it's likely no louder than how loud it gets when everyone is walking in the hallway between classes.

2

u/Oasis_of_The_Sand Jan 10 '22

Listen put this philosophy into this. Someone’s saying something to a friend they are all chatting then he just comes and screams. I’m not forced to love him for just interrupting everyone’s conversations. Are you saying if I’m in a random store I can scream “RED BEEEAAAANNNNNSSSSS” every day for over a month and that’s ok?

I get it’s only 10 seconds, but it’s a joke if you’re saying someone can shout for 10 seconds every day.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

Not more than being a attwhore

Dude what

3

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

"Anyone who does anything that attracts attention is an attwhore"

Yeah, like screaming for seconds as you walk into the classroom is a little more than inadvertently drawing attention, but that's okay, you should probably do that too.

Thank God at least in my high school days he wouldn't do it more than once, not at the same school

3

u/ejpintar Jan 08 '22

I mean he’s not being an asshole to other people. If I were in that class I would find it entertaining and funny.

7

u/YaboiGh0styy Jan 08 '22

This seems like the type of dude who just makes sitting through school worth it.

5

u/Bread0987654321 Jan 08 '22

God this is annoying, put this in r/ImTheMainCharacter

5

u/gerber68 Jan 08 '22

What an annoying fuck

2

u/Thattallchick24 Jan 09 '22

Did anyone actually watch the entire thing…

2

u/captbrad88 Jan 09 '22

After the first day or two, that’s kinda annoying

2

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '22

I couldnt imagine being a kid today and feeling like i have to make a tiktok video just go to class

2

u/Noonecanhearmescream Jan 09 '22

Something wrong with this guy…

2

u/LNViber Jan 09 '22

I'm so glad that when I was in school you were very lucky to have a cell phone and none of them had cameras anyways. I wouldn't be able to put up with this tiktok content cringe shit.

2

u/GrandElderVegito Jan 10 '22

It’s stfu time baby. Joke gets old second time you do it.

2

u/WholeInflation435 Jan 11 '22

Then the quiet kid reaches in his bag: ಠ_ಠ

2

u/PhotonDecay Jan 11 '22

Doesn’t get enough attention at home

2

u/TonsOfTabs Jan 11 '22

How has he not been written up and how has no one knocked him clean out yet? Seems like only the person recording and himself like this crap. This is crazy it just kept going on day after day.

2

u/Toucheh_My_Spaghet Jan 11 '22

He literally looking around if people looking at him before he starts doing it. Pathetic

2

u/DazzlingDanny Jan 16 '22

I feel like back in the day this kid woulda set all time records for wedgies and swirlies received

4

u/2roK Jan 08 '22

Unpopular opinion but damn that‘s annoying. Imagine sitting there with a headach in the morning with that guy screaming for a minute straight… for the hundreth time…

2

u/funko_grails Jan 08 '22

If I was the teacher I’d Sparta kick him out the door and lock it after the first time.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '22

seek attention much?

u/edadou Jan 08 '22

1

u/Lemusch Jan 09 '22

Back in my school days we did something similar. When we enter the biology classroom someone shouted: "biology class!!" And everyone shouted back: "yay" The teacher liked it because it got everyone hyped up for his lesson.

1

u/ZyxDarkshine Jan 09 '22

1

If he just did it every time they came back from a break or a new semester or a new year or something that would be pretty fuckin funny/wholesome.

1

u/AndrewBicseyMusic Mar 03 '22

If every shithead in that classroom would join in with him just once, it would be the greatest video of all time.
