I mean if I made a split second decision to shoot someone coming out of their house with their Keyes in their hands Iâd be thrown under the jail.
Should be the same treatment no matter if youâre a cop or not. PERIOD

Half way down I had to disagree. Yes you or I would be thrown under the jail.
But cops have training. They're expected to take an oath, tho what is said in that oath may be questionable, they're sworn civil servants.
Punishment IMO should be more severe. I know for a fact that a postal worker is reprimanded for bee stings if reported and cosmetologist can go to jail for a bad perm.

Every cop should have murder charges when they take a life unjustified. Think before you shoot you blue lives matter Pigs! Police in the US have too much leeway in taking a life.

It never fails that after they shoot someone multiple times, they still stand there, giving commands smfh.
I shot you 4 times center body, "Now roll over on your stomach and show your hands!"

Completely agree, too many of these swine think they're judge Dredd. I feel like the public's opinion is starting to shift from always seeing cops as the infallible "good guys".

For those who didnât see his testimony, it was almost 100% like this. Tried to act like he feared for his life, âI didnât want to die a few days before Christmasâ.
If that isnât a fabricated defense line I donât know what is. Christmas ainât got shit to do with being afraid to die.

u/vinfinite Nov 05 '24
Itâs beyond me how he can say he was worried and didnât want to die before Christmas but he KILLED a man before Christmas and the man did nothing besides being black and having car keys on him. Ridiculous fucking human being, not remorseful at all.

Sounds like he's good dying before New Years eve? Thanksgiving? Spring Break? 4th of July? Mothers day?Juneteenth? Opening day of Baseball? Sharknado week? Just saying

Yeah I prefer to be shot before Easter. No one cares about that holiday

I donât feel bad for the guy one bit but he was definitely failed by the system.
With all those complaints, etc., he was doomed to eventually do something like this. He shouldnât have been a cop. And thatâs why Columbus paid 10 million to the victimâs family.

u/HairlessHoudini Nov 05 '24
A cop with over 90 abuse complaints shouldn't be a cop anymore. He should have been fired a long time ago and it would have saved a life

âThis sent a message to every officer in this county that your split second decision can now be led to murder.â
Good! Thats quite literally how it should be. Iâm so sick of cops being hyper casualty averse and then claiming how dangerous their job is means they should be regulated less. You canât have it both ways. You signed up, willingly, for a position where you knew your life could be in danger. Deal with it like a professional. Between your life and a civilians, the civilians life should be protected. Identify your target with certainty, not âI think itâs a weapon.â Then identify if the person is making aggressive actions towards you. Then, and only then, should you be cleared to shoot.
It shouldnât be illegal to have a licensed firearm on your own property. Instead, itâs a death sentence if they even THINK you have a gun.

It's about fucking time, now let's hope the judge doesn't decide to give him probation

If you didn't want to get shot and you have a happy trigger finger to the point it has you in tears... perhaps reconsider the career of being an American Police officer.

How much do you want to bet that this guy took one of those Killology type training courses?

If I walk to my neighborsâs house and shoot him, can I say âI couldnât see his hands and I thought my life was in dangerâ? Yea didnât think so. If it doesnât work for me, it should not work for you.

Good riddance. Hopefully we see more examples of juries holding these thugs accountable.
Yes. If the military can somehow manage ROE with live enemy combatants, then somehow I think the local police force will be able to survive having to think more than a second before killing mfers.

I'm so sick of hearing cops not rendering medical aid after they shoot someone and secure the scene.

Cops who do this should be made to stand in front of a firing squad. Just saying

Hope this piece of absolute shit rots in general population for the rest of his miserable life.
As to the attorney claiming thereâs no win here he is 100% wrong. The fact that he was charged with murder was a win. The fact that he will die in prison away from society is a win. The fact that this will dissuade those more in love with power than justice is a win.
ACAB.

Why do they never offer aid. Justified or not. 1 shot or 20. Go through the motions. Try. Nah just leave him.
