Live Video 🌎 He points at trump when he says “including hardened criminals”
698
u/legendary_millbilly Aug 06 '24
He was probably the only hardened criminal in the room as he searched for an example.
60
u/Mindshard Aug 06 '24
To be fair, he was only hardened because he was thinking about his daughter at the time.

The only hard thing on that tub of lard are the deuces he drops into his adult diaper because of his lack of dietary fibers. Ketchup slathered steak made well done and hamberders cause constipation.

That's very unlikely to be true. There were probably quite a few hardened criminal Trump supporters in the room

u/Spirited-Reputation6 Aug 06 '24
Damn. That was intentional. You know how creepy Bible thumpers be so passive aggressive.

u/Thirty_Helens_Agree Aug 06 '24
Bless their hearts.

Now ain't you just the sweetest thing.
14
Aug 06 '24
Oh ain’t you just one of God’s Angels outside of heaven
1
u/EagleEyes0001 Aug 06 '24
Who the hell talks like that... lmao I never heard a Christian talk that way. But I sure can't stop laughing
11
u/StrobeLightRomance Aug 07 '24
Well, shut the front door, and God bless America, I'm just guessing you've not spent much time in the Southern US Bible Belt.

u/EagleEyes0001 Aug 07 '24
Certainly have not.. but I sure want to now.

I’m not sure if it was on the surface intentional… so much as it was subconscious. The only people in Congress who don’t think Trump is a criminal… are a small handful of MAGA nuts. They know he’s a career criminal and conman… and they’re terrified of him and his base. So they subvert our democracy because they’re traitors by way of wuss.

You’re welcome to debate any of the points I made:
They know he’s a criminal and conman
They are scared of the base and they’re scared of Trump: https://i.imgur.com/S9YbyXl.jpeg
They have and will continue to subvert our democracy for Trump, because they’re scared

u/shirubakun Aug 06 '24
Yet it went right over his orange head.

Aug 06 '24
no, he twitched, didn't you see it?
10
u/azarza Aug 06 '24
i don't think he sees it at all.. he is looking off at the start and back just as the hand goes down

That look from Trump. I think he sees Johnson as a threat. Johnson is the real what Trump is pretending to be and I think Trump knows it.
35
u/Annonomon Aug 06 '24
Non yank here - who is this Johnson guy?
72
u/giotodd1738 Aug 06 '24
Super religious weirdo who monitors his sons porn and vice verse which raised concerns about a 3rd party app having access to that sort of information especially when it was based out of the US. On top of that super conservative and he’s the speaker of the House of Representatives
22
u/disagreeable_martin Aug 06 '24
You know I'm starting to get Kevin Spacey vibes from Johnson now.
Actually, after reading your comment, Johnson overwhelmingly reminds me of Kevin Spacey now. Weird.
5
u/Annonomon Aug 06 '24
Does trump consider him a threat for the nomination?
20
u/shitatlove Aug 06 '24
No the nomination has already happened. Trump has the GOP nomination.
This Johnson guy is just an actual Christian fascist while trump is just a tool 🤷♀️ kind of a blank figurehead you can paint whatever you want onto.
Johnson is a terrifying consequence of the rise of evangelicalism and that type of Christian ideology.
13
u/giotodd1738 Aug 06 '24
I highly doubt Mike Johnson’s words would have any sway on voters because those who will vote for Trump are going to vote for him no matter what. As for whether or not Trump likes him probably not very much especially after this theatric. Trump will remain the republican nominee unless he passes away or his health deteriorates to a point they cannot swing it or reframe it
11
u/nuckle Aug 06 '24 edited Aug 06 '24
u/giotodd1738 pretty much covered it. Hyper religious christian nationalist weirdo. Truly believes in weird Taliban like religious control of women.
If you really want to know who he is, James Carville explains him in detail:

Aug 06 '24
A lot of the answers you have gotten are what kind of person he is, but neglecting the emphasise the most important part. He is Speaker of the House, which makes him 3rd in line for the presidency. When the Speaker of the House is of a different party than the president, they are literally in the most powerful political position in opposition to the ruling party. In other words, a very important, and dangerous, dude.

u/PM_ME_MY_REAL_MOM Aug 07 '24
this explanation would make me want to go back and watch designated survivor
..if it hadn't been cancelled twice and lost all sense of momentum

u/GoodFaithConverser Aug 06 '24
That's just Trump's serious-face. He always wears it when he has to be serious. Looks as silly as his other faces.
5
u/Oregongirl1018 Aug 06 '24
Exactly. He wasn't listening to what Johnson was saying at all. Just trying to stay awake and not think of his daughter naked.
5
u/GoodFaithConverser Aug 06 '24
I was thinking "I wonder if we can get a coke and hamberder on the way back" but yours is likely as well.
Once, I might've felt bad making silly assumptions about his state of mind, but trumpoids do nothing but that about trumps enemies, and ignore literally any and all arguments rooted in facts. They don't know or care about anything except vibes, and Trump's vibes are that of a creepy old pig. Factually he tried to steal an election - but no one seems to care about that except democrats.

I think he's pointing to him to indicate that he's expressing something that Trump is saying. He probably didn't realize that people may take it in a different way.

u/Number-Thirteen Aug 06 '24
"Hardened." Trump is the softest person in the world. He is a criminal, though, so there's that.

What's wrong with hardened criminals?
The right seems to love criminals, just ask them for their photoshopped pictures pretending to have a mug shot in Fulton County.

He's gonna have to give up his spot at the table for a less favorable one as all of Trumps goons and cronies suckle up to his teets for dinner tonight.

Who is more of a hardened criminal in the last 4 years than the Biden family ‼️😂

u/freshkangaroo28 Aug 06 '24
He would never step out of line with maga, none of these people will until it’s all the way dead and gone, and even then maybe not. He was probably trying to signal how Trump always says he’ll be tough on crime or some bullshit, each of the magats in positions of power have -1 spine and could never call Trump a criminal, intentionally..

I think Kamala Harris is leading in the current polls and popularity vote. I think the curtain may be closing in on ole Donald.
1
u/Cryptoman_CRO Aug 06 '24
The way y'all talk about Kamala is the same way y'all talked about Russian collusion. Yall astro turfed reddit for years, everyday drip by drip y'all for sure knew it was real and turned out to be a giant nothing burger.
Y'all for sure know she is leading in the polls, hey didn't Clinton lead the whole time? Anywho keep this up your motivating the right more and more.

Do you really think voting for Donald is a wise decision considering he’s a felon and has visited Epstein island multiple times for supspicious activities.
1
u/Cryptoman_CRO Aug 06 '24
He will actually make the economy better and is better at foreign policy.
2
u/Supernight52 Aug 06 '24
Strange. Everyone that I know from MN loves Walz, so I'm not sure what you're referring to here. How did he let his state burn? Either way, your point is undercut by the fact that you can't even tell the difference between "Your" and "You're."

Not really his support has stalled out there’s a limit, though it’s embarrassingly high, to the number of low information rubes who will fall for his con act. Add to that the monied conservative interests who use him as useful popular idiot, in their effort to take down the American federal state and that’s the sum total of who will vote for him. The rest of us will never ever be fooled. We’re just too smart.

u/femininePP420 Aug 06 '24
I don't understand why being hated would be a good trait for a president to have. Even if the hatred against him was completely unfair (it's not) why would you see him being despised by more than half the country a good thing? Can or society even function under a person like that?
