Scarlet Nexus (PS)

Im rather new to this style of JRPG. I recently played Gravity Rush Remastered and loved it at first but the gameplay really felt like it plateaued halfway through and I got tired of collecting the gems. But anyway, back to Scarlet Nexus.

So far, I am about finished with my first playthrough with one of the two main protagonists. So far the story is very superhero/cyberpunk and I vibe with that and I wish there was a full on anime show (there probably is but im an amateur weeb) with a similar plot.

The gameplay is very fun with all the abilities and mixing and matching with teammates but I wish had two changes: Dash enhance and a block mechanic. The dash is fine if you can get a perfect dodge, but it just feels like you dash exactly 1 foot away from the spot you were standing. Just feels lackluster. With blocking, so many times my mind jumps to "gotta block that ranged attack" but reflex remember too late that I cant because that is not a thing.

Besides that I wish I could also play as the other characters even if it was just for a short amount of time since the protagonist isnt a created avatar or anything. So far I would recommend this to anyone that likes JRPGS, single player team combat, anime and/or story driven experiences.

There is a show that, I think, tells the same story from the game. Haven’t watched it myself. The show also gives codes for the npc in Musubi(?).

It’s a whole 20+ episode anime. You can find the whole series on youtube.

Nothing major atm. Waiting on Dying Light 2.

Hmmmm ill give it a watch, I think. I was debating if I should go and play Dying Light before the second one releases. If you've played it, how did you like the first game?

I really enjoyed it, one of my favorite games for the ps4. Parking around zombies is very fun. When I played I noticed a few bugs and when climbing buildings sometimes it gets wonky. But running around the map is still fun.

The story is linear, and DL2 will have more RPG choices. The combat is pretty simple, just smacking around different enemies. The movement is what really got me.
