Wow interesting! Are some drivers doing the race alone or are their teammates still TBA? And one of the TCR cars definitely isn't a Porsche GT3 :)

Yeah, but 6H Dhabi was never broadcasted, so I guess it will be the same this year. It's just a way to keep teams "in town".

Although I am not sure if it will be this year

Of course! I’ve managed to catch a couple of hours. Interesting finish, good to see fight for overall going on so late in the race.

Love your work as always mate. Not a request just a question - is the Bathurst 12hr on your radar?

No, GT4 is its own class. GTX is for GT cars that don't fit in the other GT classes (GT3, GT4 and Porsche 992 Cup). For this race, the GTX class has a Vortex (which as far as I know only races in the 24H Series), a Lamborghini Super Trofeo Huracán, a GT2 KTM and a pair of previous generation Porsche Cup cars
There was a Porsche Cayman GT4 in the similar TCX class in Dubai last week but apparently that one was old enough that it's homologation had expired so it wasn't eligible for the proper GT4 class

GTX (or GT Special) is a catch-all class for just about any GT car that doesn't fit in the other, more specific, GT classes
Creventic (the organisers of the 24H Series) have always had a philosophy of finding somewhere for just about any car (within reason) to race so alongside the more traditional classes for the cars that teams typically enter (GT3, GT4, Porsche 992 Cup and TCR) they have 3 special classes for just about any GT or touring car so long as its slower than a GT3 car and meets modern safety standards
It isn't exact, but generally cars that are faster than a GT4 car go in the GTX class, cars that are somewhere around a GT4 or TCR car go in the TCX class with anything slower going into the TC class. The slower classes rarely have more than a handful of entries (if any) but it means that almost any modern GT or touring car can race although in recent years they have shifted away from more entry level cars like the various generations of Clio Cup car that used to be pretty common
For this race, the GTX class has a Lamborghini Super Trofeo Huracán, a GT2-spec KTM, a pair of previous generation Porsche Cup cars and a Vortex 1.0 which I think is unique to the 24H Series and is basically the result of a pair of brothers deciding they wanted to race a car they built and designed
There aren't any TCX or TC class cars for this race but as an example, last week in Dubai a GT4 Porsche Cayman that was too old for the proper GT4 class raced in TCX and in last months race in Kuwait a pair of BMW M2 CS' raced in the TC class

Are you going to be making a spotter guide for the Rolex 24 at Daytona? If not, do you know a place where we can find it?

Wheew! Glad to release this project as well, so close to previous one, that was a thight schedule, but Creventic helped big time! ;D You can download it from:
spotters.guide or 24hseries.com
Updates will follow, few entries await driver line-up confirmations!
