Indoor pool to relax/float, 8 months pregnant.

Does anyone know of an indoor pool that I could go to relax and float in? I'm 8 months pregnant and kinda feeling miserable. I don't want to do exercise classes or swim laps. Just want to feel weightless for a bit.

There’s a float spa in Cary.

North Raleigh has one too.

Sportsplex is cheap and the non-lap pool is warm—can get chaotic with kids tho

I just went to Optimist Pool for the first time. Only $5 and it was clean and pretty empty at 12pm. Also, the water was a decent temp and the rest of the building warm.

Area hotels are really slow over holidays. Some allow visitors to use the pool for a nominal fee

Triangle aquatic center. They have open swim hours every day (unless there’s a swim meet). It’s a $7 entrance fee. You can look at the open swim schedule on their website.

Thank you for asking this. I’m 7 months pregnant laying in bed with swollen feet/legs trying to think of anything that would help. Sounds like a grand idea!

I think the county pool off of Buffaloe might fit the bill. Maybe not the vortex, 'though...

Not a pool but for relaxing, weightless vibes I’d recommend a float spa as another option

Morrisville Aquatic and Fitness center, can drop in for a small fee or buy a 10-pack. They have a lap pool and a smaller pool that they use for aqua aerobics but you could use to float. I went there a lot when pregnant!

I bet you One Green American Dollar that if you walk into the Hampton Inn and ask to speak to the MOD, and tell that person what your situation is, they'll walk you right into the pool area.

I just googled that one since it's close to me. It says Permanently Closed. Boo. ☹️

But thanks to this thread, I know float spas are a thing!
