Yeah…maybe ask some of the people who watched Outnumbered what they thought of it. ‘Absolute shite’ would feature heavily. It’s gone from quirky, gentle comedy to flaccid family drama.

Was that an actual storyline on the show? Cancer?

It was, but I don't think that was the problem. The show was just really slow paced, and missing the chaos that originally made it great

No, it's missing the kids and the precocious things they said. That's what made it funny. No kids in it anymore.

The kids grew up, stopped being cute and became really bad actors. If they were going to reboot it they should have given them all grandkids.

Yeah outnumbered was really hard to get through. The kids now being adults was just weird because they are all absolutely terrible at acting.

I guess I’m in the minority then because I grew up with Outnumbered and enjoyed that new episode. I also watched it with my parents who had never seen the show before and they liked it too. I’m sorry so many others were disappointed by it

I didn't know Call the Midwife was still on the air. I loved the first few seasons but I can't imagine watching it that long. Do they really have new stories or do they just rehash old ones?

Yeah it's been going long enough now that the new season is set in the '70s. I don't think it's as good as it used to be but it doesn't feel like they're repeating old storylines

They’re going forward with time so there’s all kinds of social changes they address. Also they changed the nuns , the nurses and the patients so things are always different.

I look forward to the Call The Midwife Christmas special every year. It's always very heartwarming and a great way to end the Christmas day.

My wife does, too! I call it her yearly Christmas labor pain special. I don't get it, but love that she loves it.
