A Subaru properly enjoyed (apologies for the poor blurring, I'm no editor).

I wouldn't trust the factory oiling system to not starve the engine in these conditions.

Do you really think it would be an issue? It's a 22-23 second run.

I personally doubt it would cause any issues. If you continue it repeatedly like 20-30 times maybe or race around nonstop for a few minutes maybe but I really doubt that. Cars are built to withstand stuff so I am pretty damn sure you’re 100% fine. I’m no pro but that’s my thought process.

I hate to break it to you but it’s not the late 90s anymore. That’s just not true these days

I do. I did autocross for a few years before becoming a full race track instructor. I would not trust the Crosstrek oiling system in an autocross setting. Subarus are famous for having bad oil control, and autocross is hard on oiling systems despite the runs being short. It'll be fine from this one run, but I would not make a habbit of doing autocross in a Crosstrek.

I did autocross in my BMW for a few years before transitioning to the race track and eventually became a track instructor. I've seen a lot. Subarus have bad oil control and even 30-60 seconds is long enough to cause starvation in some vehicles. I've seen plenty of cars return to the paddock with clattery valve train after an autoX run.
AutoX is easy on tires and brakes, but hard on oiling systems.

I enjoy driving my Outback in winter but no hell I wouldn't dare to take in track in summer time. It is good car but hell no track car in summer conditions.

surprised they'd let a crosstrek run, it's too tall by SCCA standards (at factory height)
