Librium not helping

Relapsed and went on a hell of a bender. Ended up with me being wheelchaired into the ER. They prescribed me Librium. Just took my first dose. I still feel terrible. I’ve heard it has a long half life. Does the second dose help more?

What are you wanting help with? Withdrawal symptoms, hangover, the after-effects of alcohol poisoning? In my experience, all of that took time and rest. Meds might keep someone out of seizure or agitation so severe they are dangerous.

Overwhelming anxiety tbh.

I think a small dose of librium or something similar isn't going to fix things as good as booze did, but it will take the edge off as I recall from being in the hospital.

breathe and try to keep faith that you are currently doing the right thing.

When I was in the ER for withdrawals the Librium didn’t help for anxiety, ask them for Gabapentin and Valium or Klonopin, those will help with anxiety. Also what helped me in that spot was realizing you’re in a safe place as shitty as the ER can be.

Just don’t drink too much after taking Librium. My friend died that way.
