Anyone drink and not fight or do stupid things but just can’t remember and get bad anxiety?
I stopped drinking for 2 years and have slowly started drinking again. I rarely drink but when I do, it is like I can’t remember small things then I remember when someone mentions it.
I also can casually have a beer, since I started drinking again strictly for social events. I have not had a drink by myself in 4.5 years and do not go on binders and never have.
Anyone else like this?
When I drink I enjoy my time during it but it is the following day I get bad anxiety about what ifs and my body feels like crap.
Don’t know what I am asking really just wondering if anyone else only drinks 6-8 times a year and wants to stop.

Even when I drank regularly I didn’t fight or do anything stupid for the most part. Actually makes it tougher to quit in my opinion because you don’t really see the negative impacts. But the hangxiety was always the worst part. Feeling like shit emotionally and physically was really what made me want to quit for good.

This is what I am noticing. It’s the aftermath that is killing me. People are shocked when I stopped drinking for 2 years because I was always a ‘good drunk’

If you can't remember, how do you know that you didn't do something stupid? 🤡
Seriously, one of the Huge Things I'll apparently never remember is what I ran into during a blackout in 2005. I'm reasonably sure it was something concrete like a k-rail because there was white powdery concrete-like stuff all over the scraped up passenger side of my car.

I just can’t remember little things then someone brings it up and I am like oh yeah. Like it is never a blackout. I remember the series of events just can’t recall small details until they are brought up. Does that make sense? Like I was I was talking to ‘insert name’ but can’t remember the conversation unless I am reminded. It is like my brain is fried which is scary

It’s bad for you! Just as normal as wanting to not smoke, it’s not only bad if you’re “addicted” it’s bad always. Theres reasons people do it too obviously but it certainly shouldnt be at all weird to not do it.

It’s so bad. I need to remember this. Like I don’t want to drink for my health is enough

Alcohol is to anxiety as saltwater is to thirst....
