I think they’re safe on low. Really just warm enough to be an acceptable lap replacement. I have an automation that turns them on and off every so often, and I’ve had them on every winter for years for two cats. This was in 2020:
I’ve never heard of ones with on/ off timers.. I’m definitely looking into this.. my guy hates winter, and I’m always hit trying to keep the house warm for him.
Aww :( I can't wait to own a cat again. I moved somewhere with an egregious pet fee so we're having to save up but as soon as we have it the family will be expanding.
I know my cats are weird, but I bought a heated throw for myself and Buddy, who is invariably in my lap if I'm seated, and he doesn't like the heat to be on. If I have it turned on, he won't settle down but just keeps getting up, turning around, moving to lie down beside me, blah blah. Such a dufus!! Malcolm is so sweet and normal ! 😺
