Advice / Questions my first time, some issues NSFW

Post image

I started with a very thin one as my 6mm doesn’t even fit without hurting

but this small one hurts quite a bit, I’m using durex KY jelly and pushed some straight into my urethra and it didn’t hurt, is it my sounding rod that’s the issue?

First off, don't use KY jelly. Buy some premium medical grade lubricant. I would also skip using the silicone sounds and get some stainless-steel sounds that you can sterilize with 90% alcohol. Other than that, use the sound that fits you comfortably and then you can work your way up. Don't rush it, it takes quite some time to stretch your urethral, I have been sounding for almost three years and have just now gotten up to the 10 mm. Don't be in a rush and enjoy each step of your journey.

Totally agree. Metal sounds. Sterile lube. Go slow. No forcing. Takes time. I know that by experience. Went from 6mm to 10mm but took regular sounding sessions (2-4 x a week) for months.

I agree with Charming_Arrival4944 about trying stainless-steel sounds and a medical-grade lube that is sterile. A sterile lube contains bacteriostatic agents to help reduce the presence and spread of bacteria.

If you like silicone, which is ‘grippy’ get better quality silicone which will minimize that friction.  I find that the common black silicone like the one in your post has a lot of friction and tends to be a little stiff, and lube doesn’t stay on very well.

I really like ones from SiliconeNozzels. You can buy them in different lengths, diameters, and softness/firmnesses. And lube adheres to them much better than those common black silicone.  I prefer Dynalube.
