Discussion Merry Christmas to everyone out there in your Santa hats!

I can't run with a Santa hat because my head gets too sweaty, but I love seeing them on others on the trail.

My favorite part about running on Christmas morning is the handwaves and greetings -- from the regulars and strangers alike. What's yours?

Today is Christmas. I shat my pants while running.

For real, I'm so sorry this happened to you but... Lmao

This happened to me when I was 16 on a run with my boyfriend. Fucking horrible lol 18 years later and it's a funny (embarrassing) memory!

In case you were upset about it, just wanted to let you know, it might become just a funny memory one day! Hope you were somewhat close to home and able to change quickly!

I ran with a Burger King hat one time and someone in a car threw an apple at me.

Ha! Is that like fresh fruit for fuel during races? (Thinking positively here.)

Hahaha! I have never run with a santa hat, but I've walked with an orange hat for King's Day and that got me a lot of friendly smiles.

I love a long solo run on Christmas (and Thanksgiving).

I didn't see many people dressed up today but it was in the low 60s when I finished.

I’m jealous. It was cold and foggy here. But the ground was dry, so that’s something to be grateful for. Merry Christmas!

I fractured my ankle on December 20th. I couldn't do my annual Christmas run this year.

I'm both insanely jealous and happy seeing the others run with their hats today 🥹

Happy run guys! And merry Christmas!

I’m sorry to hear about your ankle. Rest and heal right up. We’ll see you back out there soon!

Damn it man…I ran 6+ with a noodle and never thought about my Santa hat…

I ran 6.2 so I could eat extra noodles!

I definitely had my Santa hat on for my Christmas run yesterday🧑‍🎄

I ran yesterday and didn’t even think about wearing one, lost opportunity. A few years ago I did a Santa run, it was just a 5k. The registration fee included a lightweight Santa suit and hat.

Whoa, a full Santa suit would really be something to see. Goals!

I didn't see a soul on the Van Cortlandt trails in the late afternoon.

We were all napping on the couch, Christmas food coma.

Merry Christmas! I did it for the first time this year since we had some Santa hats going spare at work the day before. Seeing my shadow with the pompom bobbing around made me happy. I live in Korea, so I got both bemused and amused looks.

Ran in my Krampus shirt 🐐🧺

A guy in my running group says Krampus = less calf cramp. Win-win!

Didn't run with a Santa hat, but I did do a 5k on Christmas! Unfortunately I didn't see any other runners.
