Weekly Thread Tuesday Shoesday
Shoes are a big topic in this sub, so in an effort to condense and collect some of these posts, we're introducing Shoesday Tuesday! Similar to Wednesday's gear thread, but focusing on shoes.
What’ve you been wearing on your feet? Anything fun added to the rotation? Got a review of a new release? Questions about a pair that’s caught your eye? Here's the place to discuss.
NOTE: For you Runnitors looking to sell/trade any running gear (as well as bib transfers), head over to /r/therunningrack.

I am looking for running shoe recommendations. I had my gait analyzed and they recommended me the ascis gel kayano 31. But running in that shoe makes my knees hurt and since they are so heavy, I find it difficult to lift the tempo.
I tried out the saucony tempus recently. I feel that the shoe is tight around my ankles. I feel a pinching sensation while running and it leaves me with ankle pain after the run.
The only shoe I am comfortable in at the moment is the brooks glycerin 20.

Why not just continue to run in the glycerin 20s? It's a good shoe that works for you why change a good thing?

I've put a lot of miles on them and with the new glycerin 21s coming out, I won't get the 20s anymore. I am not sure if the 21s are as good as the 20s. Hence just looking for alternatives.

Old ass adidas’s and sketchers that are about to fall apart. I’m running outside in the desert on shitty pavement that is falling apart as well. Also running through tire tracks, on embankments of dirt while hopping over bushes and rocks. I can not afford any new shoes atm but once I get a job the first thing I’m buying are shoes for trails and the treadmill because my feet are starting to hurt and blister. I’m running ten miles in these shoes but have no other options and could care less at this point because it’s worth the pain.

I am currently running with a new pair of Asics Novablast 4 TR (for my asphalt runs) and a new pair of Trabuco 13s (for trail).
They both seem slightly wider than my previous Trabucos (and I've been using trabucos for ages), which I am not sure I love. Probably I need to adjust my shoelacing a bit.
That said, I love both of them. I don't know if it's for the 'wearing new shoes' boost, but feel light, bouncy and fast!
