This is Flora. She is a hero that doesn't wear a cape. Flora gave birth to 3 kittens, and on top of that, she breastfed 7 orphans - 3 from an abandoned litter, one kitten whose mother died, and 3 more that were found in a dumpster.

A few weeks ago, I asked for donations for food for the 7 kittens. We raised enough money to not only feed them, but to also pull off an early transport of 3 kitties to another city, a few days after finding the 3 younger orphans.

More importantly, though, we gathered the funds needed for Flora's spay at the clinic. If it wasn't for this community, I would have had to desex her myself. Normally, that isn't a problem, however, Flora experienced complications during the procedure - Her bladder was attached to one of the "branches" of her uterus, likely due to an injury. Another pregnancy would have killed her, and it would have been my first time dealing with such a complication during a spay. I'd resolve it, however, it was better to have an experienced vet guide me through overcoming the issue.

Flora is recovering well. She is still able to breastfeed the 3 orphans, as well as run around. Once the kittens are 8 weeks old, she will be put up for adoption, along with her babies.

I am extremely grateful to this community. It’s people like you that allow me to continue helping the kitties. And I genuinely mean it when I say that every penny makes a difference - a spay here costs about 20$. A single tin of Royal Canine Mother and Baby wet food is less than 3$. Cat rescue in non-western countries can be extremely challenging, however, it can also be astonishingly easy to make a difference.

Vespertilio (black kitten, 1.5 month old) and Noya (big white tabby kitty, 1 year old) are both hand-raised rescues with special needs (Vespie needs gastro-intestinal food, Noya needs urinary food) and they absolutely love each other 🥰

Noya acts like a parent and a big brother with Vespie, and Vespie craves his company. They play together, groom each other, when Vespie explores a new room Noya follows him...

Cherry on top, Stix (last pic, ~13 years old, FIV+), a rather agressive rescue who loves her own space, seems to genuinely enjoy the arrival of Vespie 💖

They're all so adorable and in better health now 💫💖 I think we'll end up selling our organs to afford all their shit tho 🤣😹

I found out that my husband, who I've been with for 5 years, was gay, which completely shattered my life. Cats helped me put myself back together, and I've been helping them since then.

(In case anyone is wondering, the kitten in the picture is my most recent foster/rescue. She's currently recovering from an eye infection, which is taking longer than usual to heal.)

I recently made a post here asking for money, and me and my friend, a local cat lady, gathered 220$ in total - a VERY generous redditor sent us 200$.

So far, we used the money to buy food for the street cats, spay two stray females, and get a beautiful, long haired kitty into temporary foster care. She is now being looked after and socialized by a petsitter capable of giving medical care, and is awaiting her spay tomorrow - And we still have a lot of money left, that will be spent on food and 4 more spays over the course of the next 2 weeks.

I cannot thank this community enough. It's been an absolute lifesaver for the cats, and a huge blessing. I genuinely don't know what we would have done without you guys 😸❤️

Meant to make this post yesterday, but i came down with a horrible migraine so ended up waiting till today

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED, i got so much food, at least one wet food box for each cat here! Sebastians favorite fancy feast petites from the amazing Cheese, and someone was kind enough to send 2 huge bags of the Purina allergen food! (Which i needed specifically for my mom, i bought one more bag seeing they were on sale just in case results are good.) AND GREENIES AND CHURU??? 😭😭 its not even christmas yet and all the babies are getting spoiled with good snacks and food to last through the winter, i uh??? Also got other stuff (a really nice watch) that i at first thought was an amazon mistake since i couldn't find any note saying who sent, but it was in the box with the other stuff??? So idk, but its so much nice, i genuinely hope i didn't accidentally get sent someone elses gift on accident. I also recieved insulation which was on another wishlist i hadn't posted, but was public (it arrived the same day i was considering buying some for the cat tent, and my room thats always freezing) Thats wasn't even the last of it, i think??? Someone mightve bought a new, better cat tree for them!?!? I just want to express my deepest gratitude to the RC family. Because of your help, I was able to get my kitties the treatment they needed, and I’m so happy to spend the holidays with them by my side.

As of now, they’re all recovering well and regaining their energy. In two weeks, once their treatment is completed, they’ll be ready to get their 4-in-1 vaccines to ensure they’re protected and won’t catch any more viruses.

Hey guys it's Mo with sccs thank you all so much for sending us things off Amazon and chewy. It is so appreciated. We got a couple of cases of wet food for the old granny cat, some dry food, wet food, litter, litter boxes, a cat tree (thank you for that we have a few old ones needing replaced) and some other awesome supplies.

We immensely appreciate everyone.

Momma is fixed had her hernia repaired and she is now up for adoption. Two of the other babies were fixed today and the remaining two will be fixed beginning of January when our vet is back.

We have a few that have caught colds we are treating, still doing daily fluids for the three kitties granny shadow and Salem and keeping Salem comfortable while on hospice. We had drax at the vet for an abscess and he's doing good now. George was treated for upper respiratory infection.

If anyone would like to contribute to our ongoing care and supplies we would appreciate it. So many kitties rely on us for full bellies, shelter, meds and vet care.

Firstly, let me apologize for having been mostly silent the last 3 days.

My partner broke his right leg Thursday morning. He broke his tibia and fibula.

Thursday he was in the ER, Friday we spent the day at urgent care and went to the ER Friday night.

My partner's having problems with his kidneys (he's diabetic) and he was admitted. He might be getting dialysis tomorrow.

So, my kids and I have been going to the hospital often in the last 2 days.

However, I had to let you know that we received many items from Pepsi's wishlist over the last couple of days, including wet and dry cat food, litter, bowls, medications, syringes and toys. Thank you! 💗💜🩵
