HELP NEEDED Lost rescue cat 30004

Post image

hi everybody I hope everyone is having a good holiday season! I wanted to reach out as a cat that my friend previously rescued from a shelter has gone missing today (12/26/24). he left early this morning and he has been a mostly indoor cat and we are worried he is scared out there. We left food outside the door, have cameras set up etc but are hoping that if anyone has seen him in the downtown Alpharetta Georgia area please give the owner a call at 470-415-9075 or an email at abguneta@gmail.com. any hint helps, it’s his first and only cat thanks so much in advance!

Oh, what a handsome kitty! ❤️🐾

All of my cats have done this, and one of them I thought was gone forever because I didn't see him for two weeks. But they all came back.

Your friend's cat is probably not very far away. I suggest that your friend call his name at dawn and dusk (which is when cats are most active) and put the kitty's favorite dry treats in a bag and shake them.

If/when your friend sees him, they'll be tempted to run toward him (I know I've been). But don't because it will frighten him more.

Instead, they should borrow a humane trap from the hardware store; bait it with something stinky like mackerel or tuna or smelly wet food, and drape a blanket over it to create a cozy cave.

Also: They should put up flyers around their neighborhood, and post on their neighborhood's FB and Nextdoor pages.

Good luck. I'll cross my fingers for your friend and your friend's cat.

I would recommend leaving something really smelly out for him like tuna. Also, make sure to post on NextDoor!! I hope you find him soon!! ❤️❤️

if you have something with the owners scent on it you can put that outside to help the kitty know this is home. my orange pushed out a window screen and ramped down to the grass so he did not know where the door was. out my shoes out over night (he would sleep on them sometimes) and there he was in the morning waiting to come back in.
