What’s the best way to make an outside house warm for a kitty?

I have tried many different methods -with Straw: Storage tote, styrofoam cooler, Wooded outside dog house - Last year I decided to try to construct a Large house that 10 or more could sleep in - My Colony has went as high as 32cats so i converted my shed into cat hotel-🥰 It wasn’t a great structure, but I had some fabulous people come over and insulate the whole thing and put in a doggie door i used a space heater for the first 2 month but it was so expensive- my consumer bill jumped up to around $75 month the 1 st month and over $100 the second - So I took the heater out - filled with straw and also made a few cubbie areas with heating pads It was a HIT !!😆 Plus it’s adorable to crack the door sometimes and watch …. As the cats are buried - one by one they popped their heads up -

They are so happy with all the goodies that came - I don’t get to buy too many toys because it takes everything just to feed -liter -vet
When I charged the toy up - the kittens played with it all night - they love chasing all the moving balls -
Thank you for being the best of humanity- you are a SUPERSTAR
