Bee Dutch: "Just one more hive, Arthur"

u/Accredited_Dumbass Oct 14 '24

"We could fertilize mangoes, Arthur!"

u/Mojo_Rizen_53 Oct 14 '24

There’s several of them around, it’s just not very realistic for Arthur to stand there without even flinching while the hornets are all over him.

Actually he was removing them on his face

Arthur: "What is that, what is it?! Ahhh no, not the beeees! Not the bees!"

28

u/AKAManaging Oct 14 '24

The way the bees pour like a liquid into his fucking face-Cage (haha jokes!) is still one of the funnier things I've seen in cinema.

Is there a reference I'm missing?

1

u/FewDevelopment6712 Oct 15 '24

He's referring to the famous Nic Cage not the bees scene

1

u/Fenrir_Hellbreed2 Oct 15 '24

I don't believe I've seen that one.

Dutch: “Arthur, these bees have been placed here to secure our freedom from the Pinkertons, have you completely lost faith in me? Now steal this honey for us while Micah and I keep watch.”

u/MrWhite86 Oct 14 '24

lol but after he shot the nest he’d be running to Tahiti

He can also pop health tonics/moonshine and tank pretty much infinite bullets/damage so it tracks as the game's logic goes. Hell even without tonics he can tank many shots before dying, bee/hornet stings won't do shit to em but make him mad lol

u/Copatus Oct 14 '24

Even in cutscenes he gets blasted with a double barrel shotgun pointblank on his shoulder and then is fine a couple weeks later

u/Substantial-Tone-576 Oct 14 '24

If you shoot them it makes enemies run away. Or your horse.

he's just built different, he can open cans of food with his bare hands and guzzle them down in mere seconds and never have to shit, plus he can tank getting shot in the chest several times sooo

You have a point!

6

u/Bloodtrailer_77 Oct 14 '24

Hey. I’m glad you are still on here. I started playing this game again and remember how much you helped me 100 it before. Still thankful. You have sooo much knowledge about this game.

6

4

u/Bloodtrailer_77 Oct 15 '24

21

12

u/dark_wolf_002 Uncle Oct 14 '24

Good luck

4

u/JayWrecksEverything Oct 14 '24

Well, I know what I'm doing tomorrow

3

u/Grindfather901 Oct 15 '24

I never actual take my time that close to camp, because I'm always coming or going with a purpose. I'll have to slow down and see what else I'm missing

1

u/mango_thief Oct 15 '24

Wow, it was that close to camp the whole time?

19

u/OkAnnual7990 Oct 14 '24

I think there is also one near the entrance to Horseshoe Overlook.

13

u/UrguthaForka Oct 14 '24

There's one near the factory in Annesburg too. Yeah, Arthur never reacts much other than to swat at them. Even if you blow up the hive, they'll swarm all around his head but as far as I can tell it's all just visual effects.

Pretty cool though.

Tomorrow on my Google News feed: "Yes, there are in fact bees in RDR2" then literally all images posted in this thread and a chatgpt written article.

u/rosie2490 Lenny Summers Oct 14 '24

“RDR2 Player JUST FOUND this HIDDEN object!”

"Gamers unveil new Red Dead Redemption 2 secret 6 years after its release"

20

u/GunzBlazin03 Arthur Morgan Oct 14 '24

There’s one right outside the horseshoe overlook..you literally have to ride past it to get into camp in chapter 2

8

u/dark_wolf_002 Uncle Oct 14 '24

Ok I will check it

34

u/YesWomansLand1 Oct 14 '24

This game is 6 years old and I just found this out. I have 1,000 hours.

12

u/uwufriend67 Oct 14 '24

My guess is that they were going to be more common around the map originally, and you could shoot them to attack/distract enemies below them.

But it's a little cliche. I can understand why they didn't make it a mechanic.

4

u/dark_wolf_002 Uncle Oct 14 '24

May be R* will upgrade it in next game

4

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '24

Yep, it's too specific of a detail for it not have been intended for something. Would have been nice if you could still get stung by them

12

u/SeaworthinessIll7379 Uncle Oct 14 '24

Arthur getting stung by hundreds of bees:

10

u/ShadowWolfKane Oct 15 '24

Kinda disappointed they don’t hurt you. The idea of Arthur screaming as he’s attacked by a swarm of wasps or bees would be hilarious

5

u/dark_wolf_002 Uncle Oct 15 '24

I think this is just a basic model . Maybe rockstar will upgrade it and made it real in its upcoming games

19

u/DylanFTW Oct 14 '24

Arthur while getting stun:

👋🗿👏🗿

I've played this game for hundreds of hours and only saw these once when I first started playing in 2018. 😂

4

u/MintShattered8 Oct 14 '24

Swear someone is finding something new in this game everyday 🤣

6

u/Original_Telephone_2 Oct 14 '24

Looks like hornets to me

3

u/Horror_Cow_7870 Oct 14 '24

I found 2 in my first playthrough and have not seen one since.

3

u/MackHarrison3260 Oct 14 '24

Do they show up in photo mode? Also have you brought a hogtied person there and see if they react?

3

u/dark_wolf_002 Uncle Oct 15 '24

No I didn't do anything. I just found it , recorded the video and posted here

3

u/bean_dreamz Oct 15 '24

Huh. I found one and shot it and nothing happened…

3

u/mathzg1 Oct 15 '24

Can you do tricks with the pistols to kill them like revolver ocelot in mgs3?

3

u/TiberiusGemellus Oct 15 '24

I’ve been playing for 4 years. First time I ever see this.

2

u/chillyshabu Oct 14 '24

Reminds me of Abe’s Oddysee

2

u/Ok_Device_2757 Oct 14 '24

I'm not a bee expert or anything, but I don't think those are bees

2

u/diffraction-limited Oct 15 '24

I literally found such a hive yesterday the first time as well, North East of emerald station. I tried to interact with it but nothing. Burns pretty nicely though
