Except they weren't actually a thing. There is a great essay about them in Finding Serenity that goes into the history of the reality of them.

That's not that weird. Don't you remember that episode of Mr.Bean where he killed and ate those people?

Why is the top comment of the OG post the same as the top comment of this post?

Well that’s suspiciously intriguing. Or intriguingly suspicions. Or both.

Commenter is also only a month old.

Well knowing story here in Scotland. So what makes it fake?

From what I heard was only the daughter survived. An witnessed her clan being executed.

A few random things are based on real life in the game - like Aberdeen Pig Farm

This seems more like Night Folk, than Butcher Creek or Murfree Brood.

Or maybe the Skinners.

…how?

u/Inkthinker Oct 16 '21

Well, they mostly come out at night (mostly), and they're cannibals. That fits the Night Folk and the Skinners most closely.

I don't recall if the Murfrees were actually eating people or just kidnapping, raping and murdering them.

Pretty sure Butcher Creek folk don't generally eat people.

Murfrees deffo eat people, kidnap and murder them, and it’s also likely that they’ll rape them. With the Skinners i think it’s more some sadistic bloodthirsty fellers on a killing spree, and i doubt they’ll eat and rape their victims

why would the butcher creek people be based of of this?

It’s a bs post. Month old account that has only enough points to post though karma farms. Likely a bot or something
