Investigation House ruins in lagras

I recently discovered that many of the trees are part of what looks Like the ruins of an overgrown city does anyone know some background ? The ruins are just a few hundred meters away from Saint Dennis.

I think you're thinking of the kudzu vine growth.

Known as "the vine that ate the South", it's an invasive vine that strangles and grows over everything, forming thick walls of impenetrable growth between trees.

The swamps of the Bayou Nwa area are covered with it, forming walls and covering trees - and these do.appear to be structures; but they are entwined vines.

Historically, 1899 might be a little early for such heavy kudzu growth, but it hugely became a feature of Southern swamps by the early 20th century.

See Kudzu in the United States

Agreed, this is an intriguing Easter egg potentially but we need evidence

I'm thinking OP is referring to the bits where there appears to be ivy-covered walls around the Bayou.

The mission where you attack the moonshiners with Bill and Dutch is right beside one of them where you start the stealth sneak.
