question Rethink DNS + Firewall vs Duck duck go App Protection

Hello, I am a long time DDG App protection user. Recently I came to know about Rethink. It has so much features. I was wondering if it is worth the switch. What are the advantages and disadvantages. Does it block trackers like DDG. Most importantly is it safe to use on my device? Thanks

Yes, Rethink is highly regarded.

Dev is super active on privacy forums.

The only people who don't prefer Rethink, are people very very very deep into the trackers rabbit hole. Who have far superior full blown set ups & active configs.

It's simpler to use Rethink.

But can I use vpn with it?

No. Rethink itself acts as a VPN.

You can switch for time being. You can use Orbot tor vpn with it though. Recommended within Rethink app itself for added security.

Rethink can connect to multiple WireGuard upstreams at once. If you're VPN provider allows you to export WireGuard configs, then those could be imported into Rethink and it should work just fine.

This has been possible for over a year now. And there are bugs, but the next version, v055o, should be significantly better in terms of WireGuard support.
