Sure, care to share last time this was posted in r/poland then?

u/Rift3N 1d ago
Can't be bothered to meticulously scroll through the archives but I've seen this pic reposted at least 10 times in the past year or so
Several times a user in the comments even found the exact spot on google street view btw

u/mynameisatari 1d ago
Not to worry, I did it for you and haven't found it posted in r/poland at all! You must have seen it in some other communities.

I’ve seen it so many times and always to describe anywhere in Eastern Europe. At least put in work to make a new image

its so funny to me that polish people think its only grey and miserable in poland or eastern europe during winter and nowhere else
have you seen the uk? belgium? netherlands? germany?

u/strandroad 1d ago
UK and Ireland retain a lot of foliage in winter, deciduous trees might be bare but hedges tend to be evergreen and most of the grass survives too.
14
u/Kord_K 1d ago
in my experience, it doesn't really make too much of a difference, especially if you live in a city as most uk city centres are pure concrete
3
u/strandroad 1d ago
City centres tend to be that way everywhere but even OP photo would look quite different with green lawns and hedges, not to mention suburban houses with gardens.

Tbh it's always like this... Poles experience something negative in Poland and blame it on Poland, whereas in reality it's just like that - and sometimes worse - in other countries.

I have 1200 hours of sunshine, Scotland have ~1500 - 1800, Ireland 1600-1800 hours. There have been only 3-4 sunny days in the last month, and the day lasts about 5.5 hours, the rest is night and darkness.
~9 a.m.

i have seen only maybe 3 sunny days last month and days last maybe 6 hours. i go to sleep at night and wake up at night.

Most of the "Poland bad" crowd never left their village let alone the country.

I live in the Netherlands, and i like weather here more because it’s warmer, but i haven’t seen sun for last two months.

I’ve been to all of those mentioned countries (I even currently live in NL) and none of them even remotely compare to the depressing dull grey ness of Poland.

I don't know about that, it looks like a Doja Cat video set almost every single day down here in Małopolska

I've been to Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and UK in the past 6 months and I can't agree with you at all. A lot of buildings is just plain brick which is extremely dull, your blocks of flats look sad and dystopian.

Święta bez śniegu to już tradycja

u/blinman94 1d ago

TBH I hate such posts. Firstly, the photo doesn't seem to be from Poland. Secondly, we are Central Europe. And people are acting as if Poland was the only place where it gets dark and gray in winter. Check out Sweden, Finland or so.

u/Jesuismieux412 1d ago
The Poles are Eastern Europeans living in a Central European country.

u/MinecraftWarden06 12h ago
Wdym? We are Roman Catholics, we've never used the Cyrillic alphabet and we've always been part of the Latin civilization.

There is no more winter im Poland... Climate change tranformed it into five-months-long November!

u/Fun-Raisin2575 1d ago
It's not Poland, it's Omsk, Russia. I find this houses(near was taken the photo). It's typical Soviet houses project
It's not this place, but it's near

you have not been to Norilsk, Chelyabinsk, Chita and other cities with environmental disasters. In Russia, dozens of cities are on the verge of environmental disasters or have already survived them. The legacy of the Soviet Union is terrible in terms of ecology.

u/Fun-Raisin2575 7h ago
I understand that this is mainly due to the extraction and processing of coal?

That is not true, there should also be green colour as I can see this space would easily fit 3-4 żabkas
