Because she’s a traitor. End of story. Anyone who sides with a foreign power over Canada is one.

Weird how it's the flag waving patriot crowd who are the most eager to bend the knee to the foreign leader threatening our sovereignty.

u/Responsible_Meal 2d ago

Isn't it? They don't understand any affiliation except for so-called "wokeism."

3

u/silverwolf761 19h ago

also funny because they can't even define what "woke" is

They're nationalists, (white) nationalists.

They hate Canada, but they love their nation.

u/outremonty 2d ago

Something tells me these folk don't think Tommy Douglas was The Greatest Canadian.

u/Bucket-of-kittenz 1d ago

It’s weird because they’ll bitch about the whole eugenics thing (which he changed his views on) yet you know deep down those fuckers want that shit.

u/Bucket-of-kittenz 1d ago

False patriots

u/North_Church Manitoba 2d ago

Given what we see out of Far Right Nationalists in Europe, I'd say it's pretty consistent.

u/TheHighKingofWinter 2d ago

I also think she's, at her core, a very stupid person that is being led by the nose by people with a better understanding of pretty much everything. Easily swayed by those she perceives as more powerful or simply better than her, because she's a stupid person though these perceptions are so warped as to see a POS like Trump as her better.

u/3rddog 1d ago

She’s both not the sharpest tool in the box and an opportunist. She struggles to be recognized as politically relevant and a leader, and she doesn’t have the wits about her to realize when she’s being duped and is, in fact, being mocked.

3

u/TubularLeftist 1d ago

She’s a bootlicking drunk who’d sell us all out for a free martini and a chance to sniff Trump’s farts

18

u/Zigy_Zaga 2d ago

Agreed. She is a c*nt leading the blind.

I lost my buddy living in Alberta to the Trump belief of him being an amazing "business man", as well as Danielle Smith's reasons for d*ck licking Trump any chance she can get.

It's a damn shame because I expected better from him considering he is a very smart fellow. Living in Alberta has messed him up. He doesn't work and his wet brain is definitely showing even more so.

Most times when people don't belong to any positive social circle and you see the world through the bottom of a bottle, you lack clarity and unfortunately adopt ideals that are like minded to the individuals you hangout with.

This is why I am so glad I quit the sauce 5+ years ago after a 30+ year allegiance to alcohol. I have never had more clarity in all my life and am proud of it.

u/CheezeLoueez08 2d ago

I’m proud of you too. I’ve been doing an informal research over the past few years. My hypothesis being that all these anti vaxx, maga and maple magas here, are on Facebook. Vs the rest of us who if we’re on it at all barely use it. But most not. Is this true for you? Is this guy obsessed with Facebook?

4

u/Zigy_Zaga 2d ago edited 1d ago

Yes he does. But for the wrong reasons. It's to connect with like minded individuals about utter nonsense as if he is supporting revolution. Also he gets his news from far right sources. I wouldn't know which ones because I don't really care or need to know. It's all BS anyways.

I thank heavens above I do not indulge in them myself. Lol

Edit: I finished my sentence, thus completing the first paragraph. 😆

3

u/Zigy_Zaga 1d ago

Oh, I also forgot to thank you for the positive words of quitting my filthy habit. It really means a lot to me. 🥰

I wish you blessings of good fortune and a peaceful upcoming New Year as well. 🕊️

Hopefully Trump, including all his MAGAt clowns will be stuffed into a massive cannon and shot out into the Atlantic Ocean after his embarrassing inauguration rejection. 🤞🤞🤞

3

u/9hourtrashfire 1d ago

Dude. Please.

The EPA is going to take a shit-kicking as it is. Can we please not inject any more garbage into our oceans?

Burn them. Harvest the heat.

2

u/Zigy_Zaga 1d ago edited 1d ago

I was wrong and agree the EPA is getting a shit kicking.

The Atlantic Ocean has no place for these trash people. It would probably make a huge orange oil slick from all that bronzer tropicana Trump puts on. Also it would be a shame if he collided and blew through the other side of a Navy ship or Civilian cruise ship and it sunk.

But wouldn't burning them further contribute to global warming? I mean there are a lot of them and they come in all shapes and sizes. The effects would be catastrophic!

What other alternatives could there be? A contained acid bath? MTG's jewish space laser? Never ending community service of raking the forest floors? /S

Anyways with all kidding aside there has to be a solution to Trump, his billionaire cronies and his imbecile MAGAt followers. The world needs a chance to heal from this level of ignorance he amplifies.

Day 6 for me after a bad relapse. 10 years of a bad allegiance to alcohol.

I was doing well for a while, hit up detox, rehab, tons of therapy and counselling. Owned my story. Then got a government job and had to hide any part of recovery for fear of being chastised. All my own fault, I should have taken more responsibility and not hide the fact I was a recovering alcoholic. Which meant I had to quit some government supported programming (same building I got a job in)

Fuck that job, and those people. And above all, fuck alcohol.

Thanks for the inspiration. I’m going to resume recovery and owning my story without shame.

3

u/Zigy_Zaga 1d ago

200% fuck alcohol!

I am glad that I inspired you again to pick back up the gauntlet. Imo it's not a disease, it is just a really bad unnecessary habit.

Aspiring to get back to your real self is a very admiral thing to do and you will thank yourself afterwards as things become clearer with confidence.

I won't lie, it was rough quitting cold turkey and overall I ended up realizing where I went wrong in reflection of the shitty things and situations I've put myself through. There is nothing wrong with accepting your worst times as your own fault, it's actually a good part of the positive process.

You will be amazed on how much it will change your life and the new positive friends you will gain in return. It's as if the gates to your life will have opened up and you can see that the grass is actually greener on the other side instead of it being a blurry mess.

Stick to it and believe in yourself even though it might get hard at times. On a side note, you will realize how much money you can actually save by seeing it through.

No worries. You got this in the bag!

All of this will eventually become a distant memory and how easy the answer was to say "FUCK ALCOHOL"!

Thank you so much 🥲your words are very encouraging and I’ve reflected on your post a few times now. Admittedly I’ve made several attempts at complete sobriety - there’s no going back and I know that, I’ll never have a responsible relationship with alcohol. I’m grateful I have another opportunity at it because I don’t have another relapse in me. I simply don’t.

I used to get scared thinking about the rest of my life without a drink. Now it terrifies me that I used to think that way. Naltrexone helps a lot too.

I’ve had to cut out many friends. Some who were supportive for me to quit but really became assholes about it. However, I realize that’s also my addict brain holding a resentment.

But really. Inviting me out to a 3 day cabin party where I stayed sober the entire time and it was like “Pscht, you’ll probably just drink when you get home and we’re not around”.

Hmmm I can tell I’m getting worked up about this. That’s my cue to reach out for support. You’ve been the first step today, so I’ll continue that momentum.

I’ve woke up every day grateful to be sober, I never wake up wishing I was hungover. And I don’t look back saying “wow yesterday was boring, I wish I drank and I’ll never get over the fact I had a boring night”.

I now have energy to have a wholesome day today :)

I truly appreciate your inspiration. I’m at one week! Best I got was just over 2 months. But as a whole, many more sober days if we look at year-by-year comparisons. Now it’s time to make it permanent, every day.

Have a wonderful day

Thank you and not a problem at all!

Those are very kind words that I am also not used to receiving due to kindness not usually poking its head out very often. This is one thing society lacks towards people with alcohol problems, which really doesn't help for the low self esteem levels that are present, hence the reason for drinking.

To be frank, I was not expecting this reply at all. It made my day even better because I know now that I may have helped a complete stranger off of Reddit get out of wallowing in sorrows to take back control of their life. It's ok to make a mistake as long as you own it, learn from it and go forth with a different mindset. I am really excited for you and where your new sober journey finally takes you!!! 🙂🙂🙂

All I know is that I needed someone to give me that boost of confidence I was lacking. Finally I realized I was suppressing my understanding as to why it was necessary.

Later when I hit rock bottom in my short lived marriage, I was very sad and disgusted at my life by finally taking it a lot more seriously because ultimately it was all only my fault and only I can fix my own problems even being solo.

Some of us in the same boat have mental health issues (which I do - BPD) that contributed to start drinking at an early age to fit in with other social groups I aspired to be like. Unfortunately it spiralled into becoming a massively depressed, struggle but functional alcoholic that created only embarrassing or blackout moments to live with.

It was saddening but the only time I got happy was in the bottle. Alone and at work. Mostly excuses were made to justify these actions to mask alcoholism in general as life and marriage went on.

All my life I knew I had something mentally wrong with me with how I dealt with conflicts internally. It was to take meds for mental health reasons or self medicate with booze and the booze was obviously the problem as it would nuke my meds causing physical health problems. So afterwards all progress was nullified.

Given an opportunity to dry out and quit smoking cigs (another filthy habit) it became the toughest thing ever to bear so far. But I did it and I can only blame myself for my own actions.

By blaming myself it took years to get over distant and more recent memories related to drinking that became clearer through sobriety than they were when it actually happened. Thats what clarity does when you accept it with the intent to build from it towards a new goal - "Fuck Alcohol".

With dedication, strong will and replacing drinking with new hobbies, this will all get easier, as I can tell you definitely want better for yourself. Fortunately things will change, you just have to accept it as a positive while everything gets better in many different categories. No need to be afraid of the thought of "What will I do now that I have no drinks?", it will eventually feel refreshing and normal to be yourself again.

Now I am not trying to tell you how to live your life at all, just to embrace it positively as much as possible. I will be honest here, there will still be shitty days but tis life.

I get it. It's scary because I was also quite afraid to be around anyone who drank and especially in a room of people who partake in it, such as a family get together or friends because it would tempt me to relapse. That can be tucked away until it isn't even visible anymore over time due to your new found strength and belief in yourself.

Hell, I still get urges due to alcohol always in media or memories even after going on 6 years sober. I will be damned if I break the sober streak over something silly that I know I can now handle in confidence. You too will gain this and I implore you to run freely with it and never looking back.

Get up at it and smile even in the worst of times. You are not alone. If you ever need someone to talk to msg me. I am open to chat or listen about whatever!

Enjoy the rest of your day and always make the best of it! There is always an even better one just around the corner. 🌈🙂

Danielle Smith exists to be contrarian, everything is the other parties fault, it’s exhausting. She could shit her own pants tomorrow and it would somehow be Trudeau’s fault

Because she doesn't work for or give a shit about Canadians or Albertans, but works on behalf of the oil industry that also doesn't give a fuck about Canadians or Albertans, and sees an opportunity to extract more oil through the US with Trump back.

44

u/soaero 2d ago

And who owns that oil industry? The largest shareholders of all of those companies are three American institutions.

She's bought and paid for with USD.

19

u/Royally-Forked-Up Ottawa 2d ago

I thought she was bought and paid for in rubles?

9

u/CheezeLoueez08 2d ago

Both can be true

1

u/Yamatjac 1d ago

Same thing.

63

u/mapleleaffem 2d ago

It’s because she’s an idiot provocateur trying to ride the coattails of an even bigger idiot provocateur. I feel embarrassed for Alberta and glad I don’t live there

48

u/Musicferret 2d ago

She’s a traitor. Welcoming foreign interference, sidling up to someone who has openly talked about taking over our country, spreading misinformation at every opportunity….. our laws need updating to prevent these types of treasonous weasels from destabilizing our nation from within.

5

u/DdyBrLvr 2d ago

Apparently treason isn’t what it used to be.

28

u/RottenPingu1 2d ago

Because her dream is to lick the boots of powerful people and get head pats. She isn't a leader, she's a broken human being.

20

u/Future_Crow 2d ago

Because Danielle Smith aka Marlaina Kolodnicki is anti-Canadian.

15

u/sergiosergio88 2d ago

Traitor! Shame!

18

u/Srinema 2d ago

This “interview” reads more like a campaign press release. What happened to holding politicians to account?

I guess that doesn’t apply to far right nut jobs.

4

u/OutsideFlat1579 2d ago

No kidding. I couldn’t believe what I was reading, talk about a garbage interview.

7

u/thehero29 Edmonton 2d ago

CBC is looking forward at a Conservative Majority government that has threatened to defund them. As if right now, CBC is not to be considered unbiased.

8

u/Responsible_Meal 2d ago

Because she's a traitor.

8

u/kman420 2d ago

She’d sell her first born child into slavery if she thought it would own the Libs.

Trump is only claiming the tariffs are related to border issues because otherwise the president doesn’t have authority to unilaterally pass tariffs.

He has no real reasons to agree with, only bluff and bluster

6

u/The_Kurrgan_Shuffle 2d ago

Why? Because she's a traitor, that's why

3

u/North_Church Manitoba 2d ago

Because she's a Crypto-Fascist who wants to be his next Laura Loomer.

Next question

3

u/WillSRobs 2d ago

Probably because trumps claims are based on disinformation and that’s what she thrives on.

3

u/ThunderPunch2019 2d ago

Because like Trump himself, she's a bully who only respects bigger bullies.

2

u/DougieCarrots 2d ago

Smith will side with America because dallas owns her province

3

u/erasedhead 2d ago

They have the same boss.

4

u/namotous 2d ago

Traitors think alike

3

u/CamF90 2d ago

Because she's compromised by Russia is the answer.

5

u/Akhanyatin 2d ago

Man I'm so fed up of her, I can't even stand her voice anymore. But she's good though... I was listening to a speech she gave about the oil industry and she could have convinced me if I didn't know or bother to find out how dishonest she was being. She's very different from PP who speaks like a kid throwing a tantrum.

3

u/OutsideFlat1579 2d ago

Oh yeah, she quite articulate and has a good speaking voice, it really helps her dupe people into thinking she knows what she is doing or actually gives a damn about people and isn’t the extreme rightwing pick me girl that she really is.

1

u/Akhanyatin 1d ago

To refute PP, you simply need to let your cat walk on your keyboard. To refute her, you need to do a minimum amount of research.

3

u/milesdizzy 2d ago

She’s an unelected moron

3

u/LOGOisEGO 2d ago

Thats a lot lies and claims for one short article.

First, the most expensive part for all us, healthcare. She wants a two tier system. Guess who is going to pay for all the hospitals, clinic, wings of current hospitals, not the private providers, I guarantee it.

Its going cost us dozens of billions to get maybe two Edmonton and Calgary, maybe one for Red Deer. Rural will still miss out.

Only one to gain is for the companies leasing them for service, and PCL.

Second of all, Mexico traffics fentanyl in a month than than we do a whole year. And I don't have the stat infront of my, but same on Can/US border. They bring in many times more our way. She can't even look at the solid numbers and present the facts instead of boot licking Trump.

1

u/Astrowelkyn 2d ago

Because she’s aiming to be appointed Governor of Canada after Trump annexes Canada.

1

u/Goozump 2d ago

Sort of a master class in half baked BS. The conversion of her career of nothing but politics into business advocacy was amusing. A set of excuses for health care failure pulled out of the UCP behind when they got laughed at for the regionalization plan is now the future savior of Heath Care, that seems to just keep receding. Hope the real future brings us something other than Queen Danny.

1

u/DeadAret 2d ago

Do people know the importer pays the tariff not the exporter?

1

u/CheezeLoueez08 2d ago

Who cares? We don’t need to know why. Just that she does.

1

u/letthemeattherich 1d ago

Perhaps there is an issue with drugs/people crossing the border.

But how is the US’s threat of 25% tariff’s a rational or reasonable response?

Don’t we have a free trade agreement with them?

Smith’s response only legitimizes the threat and invites further BS.

Trudeau’s silence is hardly better.

1

u/aspearin 1d ago

Because their handlers say so?

1

u/No_Many6201 1d ago

Smith is simply an opportunist, unable to have any ethical stance. She sways to whichever direction the wind is blowing in order to fill her and her husband's bank accounts. she will agree with Trump because he is the alpha grifter.

1

u/AutomaticAccess3760 1d ago

I assumed it was treason and plastic patriotism.
