Consistancy in a nobuy

How do you guys stay consistent with your nobuy. I am so motivated right now but I know myself. As soon as the hype in my head dies down I tend to stop projects like this because I get bored. I don't have a huge spending problem but I fail to save money. I can life very frugal but as soon as I have the money I will find a way to treat myself with it...

I’ve never done a low/no buy year but have heard about them for a while through YouTube creators and one who I subscribe to. This’ll be my first!

Some things I hear a lot from these creators: Start with Why Have a plan (budget and rules) Connect with community

Having a solid “Why” for doing a low buy is really important—especially when times get tough and you want to “treat yourself” just because you’re able. I’m utilizing an undated planner I bought in the summer to have one space track my spending, lay out rules, and remind myself of my Why. You can also do this digitally.

Of course you shouldn’t deprive yourself completely. You can budget in rewards and set milestones to motivate you to reach those rewards. I’ve seen good examples in this subreddit.

I hear that having a community of likeminded people is important for success, too. That could mean in-person (friends, family, colleagues) and online (Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, etc).

Good luck!
