Hare skeleton in water NSFW
When this hare died he was on dry land, but since winter rolled in the rains took charge and changed it into wetland. It's been pretty cool seeing this little guy go through his decomposition under water!

They lie in all the pools, pale faces, deep deep under the dark water. I saw them: grim faces and evil, and noble faces and sad. Many faces proud and fair, and weeds in their silver hair. But all foul, all rotting, all dead. A fell light is in them.

Well damn, this makes me think that I should start the audiobook of The Lord of the Rings already (I've read it years ago, and loved it).

I don't even want to know what drinking some of that water would do to you

I read the title, and all I could see for several minutes was an aerial photo of a sunlit, snowy mountainside, studded with trees.
