Hare skeleton in water NSFW

Post image

When this hare died he was on dry land, but since winter rolled in the rains took charge and changed it into wetland. It's been pretty cool seeing this little guy go through his decomposition under water!

"Careful now! Or Hobbits go down to join the dead ones, and light little candles of their own."

“The dead marshes, yes…. Yes that is their name!”

They lie in all the pools, pale faces, deep deep under the dark water. I saw them: grim faces and evil, and noble faces and sad. Many faces proud and fair, and weeds in their silver hair. But all foul, all rotting, all dead. A fell light is in them.

Well damn, this makes me think that I should start the audiobook of The Lord of the Rings already (I've read it years ago, and loved it).

I don't even want to know what drinking some of that water would do to you

Well since it's brackish you'd probably not get it down, but if you do, there's cows and all kinds of birds around it, and the place used to be a farm before it got converted to a nature reserve a few years ago! So you'd definitely freak out some hospital staff.

You know what they say, "hare today, gone tomorrow". 🪦

I read the title, and all I could see for several minutes was an aerial photo of a sunlit, snowy mountainside, studded with trees.

Bone broth. Make for a good stew or ramen.
