Unfortunately, no one can be told what this video is. You have to see it for yourself.

u/DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE 19h ago

Because it is

AI… you mean artificial intelligence?

11

u/DesdemonaDestiny 20h ago

I think it means "Ain't Intelligent" now. A reference to those who use it.

1

u/MrSinisterTwister 3h ago

more like "Artificial Idiot"

Using ai art to make matrix fan “art” kinda feels like it’s missing the point of the movie lol

-7

u/Bookwyrm-Pageturner 18h ago

The point of the movie is not anti-AI though?

7

u/DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE 17h ago

It’s a movie about a war between humans and machines.

Ai is literally putting humans out of work right now.

1

u/scooterbaga 13h ago

It's a series about how humans should've had more empathy regarding a new lifeform they created.

-8

u/Bookwyrm-Pageturner 16h ago

Well that's a stretch - for one thing the situations are not comparable LOL (this is like the mildest of all "dystopian AI scenarios", just needs to be mitigated by finding other stuff to pay people for, or UBI the more affordable it becomes, etc.),

secondly there's benevolent and beneficial AIs in the story as well as not (or they certainly help the humans against the malicious dystopian AIs),

thirdly the closest AIs that they've got to ours would be the ones programmed by humans and found on the hovercraft/Zion computers, such as the "NPCs" in the training or pimp simulations (or maybe the energy-producing robots as well) - and those weren't portrayed negatively or as being damaging or even taking anyone's work away etc. etc.

Finally, the podborns are cyborgs with enhanced insta-learning skills and possibly superintelligence, so they would be putting natural-born humans out of work - however that's not addressed by the movies, the only disadvantages the natural-born seem to have is the inability to VR (at least until Resurrections);

and I'm not seeing you getting on a moral soapbox about people rooting for all the podborn-protagonists in the movies even though they'd be "putting us all out of work", or whatever other moral outrage angle you'd pick to go with.

(Although I'm sure you will the moment the whole neuralink stuff starts spreading, if it does.)

u/DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE 16h ago

I ain’t reading all that

I’m happy for you tho

or sorry that happened

-1

u/Bookwyrm-Pageturner 15h ago

Hey you were the one getting on the big preacher soapbox here, don't do that in the future if you can't handle it lol

1

u/DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE 14h ago

lol you and I have different ideas of what constitutes getting on a soapbox but sure

2

u/scooterbaga 13h ago

Ya, the message it not to "other" those because they're not you.

Lot of folks never watched Animatrix and that message isn't as blatant in the films.

-2

u/scooterbaga 13h ago edited 13h ago

The point being we should've treated a new lifeform with more respect from the beginning?

Rewatch The Second Renaissance and maybe lookup some videos to help explain it to you.

"Wake up, Neo, cowcnoHtom stoltono€!"

=> If someone took this as a style inspiration to create his own Matrix story, it might be worth watching.
As it is, it is just a shittier AI crapped version of scenes from the 1st movie.

5

u/h0nyk 18h ago

I read it as "Wake up, Neo, cottontime stupid"

Trinity wants him to go to Morpheus so he can show him the door but he must go through it by himself, like the ones before him did too... Maybe the blue pill would have brought him to the fields... to Morpheus's ancestors.

(I deeply apologize for making that joke.)

59

u/ianface 21h ago

AI crap. Morpheus would be ashamed of you

38

u/christopia86 21h ago

The levels of irony here are off the charts. I'm genuinely struggling to think of another movie that using AI filters over would be more ironic.

-5

u/thebestspeler 17h ago

Id hardly call it crap, unnecessary yea. Just some dude having fun, chill.  Now if it was from wb that would be a different story.

18

u/JamesTheConqueror 23h ago

Imagine if the matrix was really in 8bit and once you wake-up you see life how it normally is

4

u/CannabisTours 18h ago

Saw this on too many mushrooms once. Was wild.

6

u/just1nc4s3 19h ago

What if our vision is comparable to 8bit and when we wake up from the matrix we finally see the real world or plane of existence?

4

u/currentpattern 17h ago

Fug. Reminds me of the Greg Egan book Diaspora, when they attempt to explore a "planet" in a 6th dimensional universe.

2

u/just1nc4s3 12h ago

I’ll have to check that out

2

u/currentpattern 10h ago

Yeah, just a warning. The author is a theoretical mathematician, so his equivalent of Star Trek's technobabble is based on actual research papers, and taken to the furthest reaches they can go. I mean that IS why I love his writing, and they make all other sci fi somewhat cartoonish in comparison, but it's not everyone's bag.

2

u/just1nc4s3 10h ago

You’re saying all the right things. I’m in buddy!

3

u/hhffvvhhrr 18h ago

Sounds overwhelming

2

u/just1nc4s3 12h ago

If it truly is the case, that’s an understatement.

13

u/Murky_Management_187 20h ago

I was excited, and impressed, at the thought of some talented artist putting together something so unique as "3D-8/16-bit" animation ..................... Then I realized its A.I and lost all interest and fascination. This is as soulless as the titular Matrix itself, and for fuck's sake, red pill me now out of this A.I hellhole. You should be ashamed of yourself.

7

u/MustardClot 17h ago

More ai slop

5

u/Equivalent_Stop4226 20h ago

No Lieutenant, your men are already dead

2

u/PogTuber 19h ago

I love the 8 bit version of this song that shit slaps

2

u/RipOdd9001 18h ago

While playing AOW2 I had this song queued up as the scenario music, Clubbed to Death always sounds great.

2

u/WillingnessOther6925 18h ago

I could watch all three like this

2

u/Holiday_Airport_8833 18h ago

Probably the best AI video I’ve seen. Which is to say it doesn’t make me want to immediately vomit. Progress!

2

u/richardmacinnis 17h ago

Cool video! However, this brings to mind something I have never thought of before:

Why does one have to see it for themselves? Seems like even when they do - someone still has to tell them what they're seeing so like, wtf does that mean?

2

u/scooterbaga 13h ago

Ever tried to convince a flat-earther the world is a sphere? Now imagine if reality itself wasn't real. How do you talk someone into that?

2

u/Maxathar 16h ago

The Canal waterfall scene represents Neo leaving Plato's Cave of Shadows as he's willing to unshackle himself from his bindings to seek the light or the "Source." Very clever imagery on the Wachowskis' part.

2

u/scooterbaga 13h ago

"The Second Renaissance" within The Animatrix series depicts the conflict between humans and machines as a tragic escalation of fear and prejudice. It highlights:

  • Humanity's Fear of the Other: Humans, despite initially benefiting from machine labor, become fearful of the machines' growing intelligence and capabilities. This fear leads to discrimination, violence, and ultimately, a devastating war.
  • The Cycle of Violence: The war is fueled by a cycle of escalating violence, with both sides committing atrocities. This emphasizes how fear and prejudice can easily spiral out of control, leading to devastating consequences.
  • The Importance of Empathy and Understanding: The film suggests that the key to peaceful coexistence lies in understanding and empathy. The initial attempts at peaceful coexistence between humans and machines are undermined by human fear and aggression.

Therefore, a more accurate summary of The Matrix's message in reference to AI would include:

  • The dangers of human fear and prejudice towards AI: The films demonstrate how fear of the unknown and the desire to maintain power can lead to conflict and even genocide.
  • The importance of empathy and understanding: The films suggest that peaceful coexistence with AI requires understanding, respect, and a willingness to find common ground.
  • The potential for AI to be a force for good or evil: The films depict AI as a powerful force that can be used for both beneficial and destructive purposes, depending on human choices and actions.

Pretty cool. Even if it is just some kind of ai filter

2

u/Flanker4 12h ago

No officer. Your team is already dead...

2

u/Scede117 12h ago

This is sick as hell, regardless of the method of creation. Well done.

2

u/Honest-Sea-4953 12h ago

Uuummm that was AWESOME! Great post old sport.

2

u/Anvil-Vapre 11h ago

This is some of the coolest 8Bit shit I’ve ever seen.

2

u/Valkyrie-161 10h ago

8-bit Matrix soundtrack goes hard af.

2

u/AmphibianParticular2 4h ago

Machine created slop. Also, Trinity looks like Michael Jackson during that jump.

2

u/ToolyHD 2h ago

Shitty ai in a movie warning about ai? Ironic

3

u/Modzrdix69 22h ago

16-bit Neo

3

u/JamesTheMannequin 22h ago

At the end, Neo looked disappointed; as though his bath water was getting cold.

1

u/Xenc 21h ago

but my bath :(

3

u/enszgr 17h ago

what is this crap lol, bot upvotes?

3

u/Inevitable-Working18 15h ago

AI generated is soo bad

3

u/Cfunk_83 21h ago

This makes me wish there was some kind of Streets of Rage style Matrix game now. That’d be awesome!

3

u/Cazmonster 20h ago

Heck yes! I'd really want lo-fi "My Name is Neo" and "Mister Anderson" voice lines during the fighting.

4

u/ReceptionFriendly663 23h ago

I did watch this. Loved the midi music

2

u/fityourfeet 22h ago

Follow the white rabbit!

2

Imagine burning up the environment for this.

2

Stupid bot.

2

u/Unusual-Ganache3420 21h ago

Who does this "clubbed to death" 8-bit remix?

2

u/Sacrolargo 16h ago

Great, more AI trash. Totally missing the point of The Matrix.

1

u/014648 18h ago

Reminds me of XIII

1

u/iLLiCiT_XL 18h ago

I just did a Fortnite gameplay video inspired by Matrix and this song.

Well, here I go to plug in the ole Nintendo Entertainment System.

1

u/TheManOfSteel135 16h ago

Why does Morpheus look like Woody Harrelson?

1

u/Medical_Voice_4168 12h ago

Why is Morpheus white?

1

u/ActCrafty 12h ago

They made a Matrix game for the Super Nintendo?

1

u/bartag 10h ago

Why is the king of pop doing a float in mid air kick while wearing skin tight vinyl and sporting an impressive rack? Ok, the outfit might not be that out of place...

1

u/athousandtimesbefore 7h ago

This is super cool! Idc what anyone says, just because it’s ai generated doesn’t mean thought didn’t go into it. I really like the aesthetic and how you pieced it together!

1

u/Sorenduscai 4h ago

Apparently AI but still hella motivating and cool

u/Pbadger8 4h ago

I remember about 20 years ago, seeing The Matrix and the Animatrix, playing the games and watching the movies- and I thought about the robot apocalypse. I thought about Terminator too.

And I came to the conclusion that it won’t be a war of humans vs. machines. This requires both sides to be a monolith, with no ‘traitors’ sympathizing for the other side. I thought the most likely scenario would be humans using machines to kill other humans and, if machines were sentient enough to dissent, would lead to human and machine vs. human and machine factions.

After seeing the rise of AI and the disdain many tech bros have for art and genuine human experience… I’m coming back around to the idea of humanity vs. machines. The machines, however, will very frequently just be people who surrender themselves to automation of expression, thought, and feeling.

They will reject their humanity not in a global thermonuclear war, but in the most boring way possible- consuming AI content plastered on every street corner and in every screen, unable to express themselves without an AI, taught how to think and what to think by AI.

They’ll put themselves in the Matrix… and it’s not like the steak will even taste that good. They’ll just be told it’s good because they’ve never had real steak- real art and human expression.

1

u/scooterbaga 13h ago

Ya'll need to rewatch The Second Renaissance.

The AI hate despite all its benefits is 2 head. And missing the whole point of the movies. Even to the extent of saying the existence of the art misses the point of the movies.

Imagine missing the plot so completely you literally get it reversed.

-5

u/TareXmd 22h ago

I for one welcome the age of AI-remade 8 bit classics.

-5

u/4d_lulz 23h ago

I would watch this

-2

u/CheezeFPV 19h ago

Kudos! This must have taken a lot of prompt engineering, trial and error with various different settings, good job!

Would love to see your comfy UI workflow (assuming you use that)

u/_bub 11h ago

man get this ai hogslop outta my face

0

u/VeilBreaker 10h ago

This is better than all those 1950s AI recreations of modern franchises but I imagine this will quickly become the next irritating thing

0

u/Germadolescent 8h ago

Uhhh I want the blue pill
