They are referring to the burrito as a wrapped sandwich in the article rather than a burrito.

Do you not hold the burrito with your hand, doing the same job as the tape anyway.
Also what’s with the “all-female team” thing? Women do impressive shit all the time, and I say this as a man but it’s almost patronising to be like “look guys, look what women did”
If it was like “the all-male team”, it would probably also get backlash so I don’t see why it’s ok to do this.
I genuinely don’t understand why the gender of the team is atall relevant.

This is definitely more patronizing than good for "inclusivity."
They make it seem amazing that a team of women did something so impressive.
The gender of a scientist or researcher doesn't fucking matter at all

Yeah, it's like saying it's something rare, as if women don't accomplish anything

Id say its worth bringing up if a milestone gets hit (i.e "first female scientist to ×" when it had only been done by men prior.) But thats it

If you find something like this patronizing, there’s no helping you. I get that feminism is generally way extreme nowadays, but something like this? Seriously? Who cares (besides y’all) if they’re specifying a bunch of women made edible tape? For a burrito. Let them have their moment man, it’s fucking burrito tape.

It gives "MORE 👏 WOMEN 👏 CEO's 👏" vibes. It's also got a sprinkle of "woman make me a sammich" undertones.

It's for people with certain disabilities (such as Parkinson's) that make keeping a firm grip difficult. It's just marketed as a "Oh! So convenient for everyone!" thing so it's easier to get funding towards and cheaper to produce, and thus cheaper to sell

I’m stubborn but I am willing to eat fallen stuffings with a knife and fork when necessary.

I don't believe this is actually real because of how stupid it is but I won't bother researching it either.

Uhh... I've met some dumb motherfuckers and never met anyone who has trouble eating burritos. Seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

You know, edible tapes are probably really useful somewhere. Stuff like rolled pancakes in Chinese cuisine could really use something to hod it together.

How old is this? Was it ever implemented anywhere im assuming it disappeared off the face of the earth like all these cool inventions do. 😒😒

The fact that anyone actually needs tape to eat a burrito is just depressing, almost as depressing as a hot box of pizza having a warning label "warning, contains hot food"

Not all wrapped sandwiches are burritos, he shouldn't really be angry in the first place
