Help / Question 25M Looking for an Affordable Studio in Beirut. Any Advice or Leads?
Hello everyone,
First, I want to acknowledge that there are far more pressing matters in the country right now, and I hope everyone is staying safe and well. That said, I’d really appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this.
I’m (25M) looking for an affordable studio apartment in Beirut. I’ve noticed that many listings prefer female tenants, which makes the search a bit tougher. On top of that, the prices are insane, with most places asking for at least three months’ rent in advance, and brokers demanding a full month of rent as a fee.
I’ve already checked OLX, but I haven’t had much luck there, either the listings are already rented (but still up), or there’s not much that fits my budget. My budget is around $500, but I can stretch it to $550 including electricity and other utilities.
If anyone has any leads, advice, or knows of a place, I’d be incredibly grateful.
Thanks in advance for any help!

A friend works as a broker and she told me studio apartments are almost the same price as double bedroom apartments because of high demand.
You might find something to your liking, but have you considered a shared apartment with a friend? It would be significantly cheaper and you'd have a lot more options available.
