I finished season 1 yesterday and enjoyed it, but what does this have to do with John?

In the season finale he asked for more fun weird things since the election is about to turn America into a lying cesspool of depression and madness. Hence, weirdness ideas for John that are fun.

I wouldn't worry. Seems like a lot of his writing staff are nerdy Millennials so they're probably on point with it.
