The guy (HTS leader) was fighting for Al-Qaeda before in Iraq. His group in the past (Al-Nusra Front) also did some nasty crime before he realised 'Fuck, we won't have Islamic State if what we do is making enemies around us'. So now he is pretty much trying to be pragmatic and do more nation building work.

Kalo dibilang berafiliasi dengan al qaeda ga bener jg sih. HTS kan gabungan beberapa front rebel aliran islamis. Yg berafiliasi cuma al nusra yg cuma bagian kecil dari HTS.
Jadi seperti yang kita tahu, pemerintahan Assad di suriah tumbang di awal desember kemarin. Dan kepemimpinannya diisi oleh koalisi pejuang oposisi, yang salah satu sekaligus menjadi pemimpinnya adalah HTS
jadi status kita di afgan sama suriah ini kek gimana ? kita masih anggap "pemerintah negara" atau udah resmi jadi pemerintah dan perlu pengakuan dari kawan-kawan ?

Al Nusra emang afiliasi sama Al-Qaeda kan ya, jadi wajar dianggap teroris. Tapi dia ga satu frekuensi sama ISIS.
