Seeking additional moderators

Hello all, /u/cuddleslapine has stepped down, and I could use some moderator assistance. I'd ideally like to add at least two additional moderators.

Requirements:

  • History of positive posting in /r/hungarian
  • Strong hungarian language skills (native speaker preferable, but not required)

Previous moderation experience is a plus. Please message me, or send a modmail if interested, and let me know why you would make a good moderator.

How much of a time investment is it? Like how much time do you spend modding here per week?

I might be interested in helping out depending on the expectations.

It's not a super high bar. We aren't a huge subreddit getting hit with a ton of spam. I remove maybe 3-4 posts a week, so the time spent isn't bad. It would be nice if I could check the mod queue more frequently so that rule breaking content doesn't stay up as long, and if we had better time zone coverage, particularly in Europe (I'm in the US). More people checking in a few times a day and removing the occasional post would go a long way.

If people have more time, there are things that could be done to nurture the sub, such as updates to post flairs for example, but that's not required.

The main thing I'm hoping to achieve by adding more moderators is:

  1. Decreased time to removal
  2. More redundancy if I'm not around
  3. Continuity when I am unable to check in for multiple days in a row, which I anticipate will happen from time to time in the next few years.

I like the sub and I read most posts and comments anyways.
