Rent this house and have no clue what this is or how it works lol

My grandmother used to have one of these and I adored it. How does it do the rain thing it does with the oil on the strings.

the furnace is a Justus Mino 2.0, but the chimney is unknown and we didn’t receive a manual for it. This is a rented house, our landlord gave us all the documentation for the furnace, and nothing about the chimney. depending on how we turn it (you can’t pull it out) smoke starts leaking out of the seam and the vents on the top of the stove. please help!

Just curious the exact way to use this to sharpen my knives. Seems somewhat self-explanatory by simply running the edge of the blade along the stone on either side for both edges but wanna make sure I’m not doing anything wrong to mess up the blades.

Brand is Columbia, I'm told it's very old

Bought statue, didn't see opening till I got it home. No way to open it up other than breaking it open. I'd love to use it as a bank and do that but it was 60 bucks. My first sixty in it would be a wash.

I bought an electric fireplace at a garage sale, and I know it worked because they had it running and I felt the heat coming out of it. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it running. No matter what I turn on or off, no matter how I flick the switches, I can't get it running. Can anyone help? Thank you!

How come I can see a little sun in the glare in the photo? I'm not sure I've ever seen that before.

Question: the last time the power went off in my building, an apt complex in San Francisco, some of these lights didn't come back on once power was restored. How do I get them back on? Is it a bulb change or is it a fuse located somewhere else? It only happened in a couple different areas. Please help.

Specifically why doesn't the light colors bleed together inside of the dome? There is nothing separating the light bulbs and yet each shape, except when the shapes overlap, is red green blue or yellow.

Like you’re standing in a circle room of mirrors and it’s going on forever, but with the display, curiosity lying where it works, what’s the logic being done by the computer here?

Can understand the air part as it will suck air in go through a filter and blow it out but don’t understand how it does the surfaces unless the air it blows out will sanitise the surfaces?

I moved into a new apartment and I’m trying to take a shower. There’s a shower head up top, but I don’t know how to turn it on. The two knobs control water intensity and water temperature. I don’t know how to make the water start flowing through the shower head since there is no nozzle on the actual water spout. Pushing/pulling the knobs does nothing.
