Request How does this cattle machine work?
Saw lots of people debating on what the machine really was, some people seemed to think it was to trim hooves but the video cuts before anything happens.
Essentially the cow is tricked into walking forward, and as in picture two it's head gets locked in an upward position. Then the machine starts moving sideways as the cow slides down further. It appears like it might be breaking it's neck.. I tried googling this device but couldn't find anything similar as a hoof trimming machine so I believe it's a slaughter device.
Anyone know?

This is a rotary or rotational cattle killing box and like the name implies, it is unfortunately for slaughtering a cow. It does not break it's neck, but exposes it to be cut quickly, which is how cattle is required to be slaughtered for halal and kosher beef products.
I found a full video but NSFW and trigger warning, it shows the actual slaughter with a blade.

Thank you... Not sure I can watch the full video personally but I appreciate the explanation. It really looked like a slaughter machine to me also as there was blood streaks down the front of the machine. Thanks for doing your research.

Its likely a Hydraulic Cattle Chute. They can be used for a lot of things. To hold it into place while they tag the animal, usually on their ear, or brand them, to apply medicine, checking for pregnancy, weighing in animal. If the video shows it turning to its side, its probably a layover chute. A layover chute works good for semen testing bulls, cutting bulls, trimming hooves, or other advanced operations to the animal. They don't usually put cattle through chutes to kill them as they then have to drag a hundreds of pound beast away. most of the time, they literally walk the animal to their death spot, shoot them, and then string them up.
