New to HBO
I just got HBO max subscription as a Christmas gift from my parents. Any suggestions of what to watch and what to skip over? I'm open to pretty much all genres. The only thing I would really say is I'm not the biggest fan of anything with alot of/over the top gore . Also my husband is really into the DC universe movies, and TV shows, animated and live action. Again any suggestions of what to watch and what to skip over? TY in advance for any answers!

Famous theme songs
After the iconic sound of tv static, what theme song does your brain immediately go to. Personally, no matter that show I’m watching, my brain automatically wants to hear the rock and roll of Entourage

Skip intro and skip recap buttons (Dune..mostly)
What's up with the skip intro and skip recap buttons? They appear after the intro. When the episode starts, the skip recap comes up. I'm on Firefox on a desktop PC.
Something has to go now that Severance season 2 is coming on another useless streaming service and it's not looking good HBO.. and where the hell is Westworld?!

Christmas You Go So Fast (from HBO's Vinyl)
This is the best post-christmas song ever written (even though it's basically a parody-- written by a fictitious 1970s crooner for the fictitious record company in the cancelled-too-soon HBO show Vinyl.)

Old School and feeling overwhelmed
I'm old school HBO - Deadwood, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, the Wire, EastBound and Out, Oz, Band of Brothers, Rome, Big Love....as you can see, it's been a while. What shows on HBO MAX would you recommend for me?

Imagining an HBO Series That Explores Resilient Futures Amid Climate Challenges.
HBO excels at telling compelling, layered stories. Imagine a series centered around human resilience in the face of environmental challenges. What plotlines or characters would you want to see?

HBO: why doesn't hbo.com redirect to max.com
It's like two years later and you still haven't put the redirect in. I'm still going to type hbo into my browser because that's what I want to watch. Max, what a dumb brand.

Euphoria Season 3, Episode 1 script
I wrote an episode for season 3 about two years ago. I think it would have been a good season opener.

Can't watch Dune Prophecy Episode 6 through Prime.
I am subscribed to Max through Prime. I'm trying to watch Ep 6, which aired last night, but keep getting an error message saying "temporarily unavailable" and "service error." I've never had this problem before.
I followed the link on the error message which led to me contacting Amazon CS after trying other things and after it still wouldn't work half an hour later. The CS rep said that it's not "uploaded to prime yet," after telling me it was "only available for purchase."
She said that there's a delay from when HBO makes their stuff available and when it's available on Max through Prime, because they have to "upload it to Prime." That doesn't sound right, though. My understanding was that it was the exact thing as Max, just through Prime, so I wouldn't have to have multiple apps.
Is this not the case? Has anyone else had issues having to wait for things to become available through Prime? Or does this lady not know what she's talking about? Anyone else having issues watching episode 6?
Dune Prophecy Late as usual.
Hey HBO is it asking to much to start streaming episodes on time? What is it with you? Last episode of the season. Late....

Why would Stringer Bell meet with/talk with the street level movers directly?
Rewatching & I noticed a big change from season 1 & season 3.
Stringer plays is as a very cautious person but does some really stupid things in season 3.
In season one, Avon almost puts no face time in with the street level guys.
Now that Stringer is the head guy, he has his meetings in the funeral home with guys like Bodie & Poot.
The cops have dirt on them to make cases and have arrested them multiple times. They are their entry into putting a wire in their meetings but they are trying to chase Cheese to get to Prop Joe.

Is it worth maintaining my subscription now that HBO is going full MAX?
I'm seriously considering cancelling my subscription. They're still producing quality series—well, the first season/s anyway—but since MAX is removing HBO from the HBO I initially subscribed to, is it really worth maintaining that subscription?

The app won’t let you fast forward without showing multiple ads??
I got the Black Friday deal to test out if I like the app and the ads are out of control. I can’t even fast forward to a certain part of the show without it showing 3 ads each time. Yes I know I signed up for ads but the amount forced on you is absolutely ridiculous.

Debating on purchasing subscription.
As the title says. I was a loyal Netflix customer for the past almost 10 years however I can't justify paying over $20 a month for content that I won't watch. I've noticed that Netflix, Hulu and Prime carry the same movies just at different times. I've had Paramount+ and Peacock but both ran out of options I will actually sit and watch. Is Max worth it? Not just price wise but content wise as well.

New show idea only hbo can do
Hey huge fan of hbo platform
This is a long shot but feel like hbo would be able to capitalize with the video game tv show’s popularity right now
Dead Space Think this would be a great tv show
Only flaw- Lacks ton of characters about 10 total in the first game and then you see 10-15 different holograms of characters who were on the ship before the outbreak and could be alive and hiding or dead/zombie
Can turn it into a old school alien movie vibe with zombie aliens and it would be scary as shit so wouldn't be for everyone but can be last of us tv level scary and still be excellent
Game has love interest with main character, your 5 man squad has likeable characters and characters you dislike that may have heroic moments where you kinda like them, has tons of twist and turns that will leave you on your seat and have the viewers talking
id want the tv show to be scary scary, jump scares, f up tv scenes. Something hbo can do
think the second game could be possibly a season 2 but could lack the characters even more so, 3rd game isn't as scary and intense and has a companion character with you so would be good for tv reasons but I wouldn't care about as much as first two games
Another question you can ask is how many great horror tv shows are out there? Not enough is the answer
Guarantee this would be a great choice and could bring a whole new market of fans to the platform

Save Sesame Street!
open.spotify.comSince I was a child, I've loved watching Sesame Street. Now HBO has announced that they will no longer commission new episodes. That's very unfortunate, as Sesame Street is an excellent TV program for children. I took this news as an opportunity to release a song about the importance of the show. And yes, it's AI-generated music, but still better than no music at all, right? Feel free to give it a listen—maybe you'll like it!

HBO is trash and we won’t be upgrading
Look at what it’s doing at every single ad… it lets the time run down with the screen frozen and audio continuing and then it plays the ads after. Lol it’s 2024, get it together
