[MOD] Success Sundays - Post your weekly triumphs here!

Hey gainers. Today is Success Sunday!

This is a place to post something that you accomplished this week, or any personal triumphs, and get encouragement/motivation from your fellow users. Some examples:

  • This week I set a personal record on my bench press of 150 lbs!

  • I was struggling to meet my daily calories for a while, but I finally was able to reach my goal on Friday!

  • One of my friends complimented me on the size of my arms

  • This week I ripped my favorite pair of shorts -- it was awesome.

We encourage you all to post any triumph -- big or small.

I turned my old deadlift max into a 3RM yesterday.

I was looking at myself shirtless in the mirror before I got in the shower today and I realized how much better I look now than I was a year ago.

I also bought myself a new pair of swim trunks for the first time in like... 10 years. I finally feel comfortable to have my shirt off in front of other people.

First time deadlifting heavy after lockdown and I managed 3 plates for 2x5 and then 6.

Never even touched more than 2 plates before.

Someone I work with video called me after not seeing me for a few weeks and started the call by saying I've got jacked which is lovely. I also found the joy of roast potatoes in duck fat :D

175 for 3 on bench, highest weight I’ve done for reps and only 10 off my 1rm.

Put on a shirt this morning and it fits tighter than usual around the arms.

Always had a weak chest (partially due to injuries) and used to struggle doing benchpress sets of 10 @ 44lbs/20kg. Today I did 5x5 @ 110lbs/50kg.

Also started with 55lbs deadlift singles, today I pulled 3 sets of 5 @ 220lbs/100kg.

I've hit my heaviest body weight ever, 156lbs/71kg @ 5"10! That's up from 141lbs/64kg a year ago.

I posted this last week and was back in the gym today! I’m not sticking to a routine yet as I’m easing back in… Cycle, Chest Press, Lat Pulldowns, Leg Press, Pull Ups and Shoulder Press… Woo! I’m going to work some squats in next as I feel like I’ve got a base set… I feel good.

Oatmeal can make shakes a lot less palatable. And I've also found that apples are NOT good in shakes. But you really can't go wrong with milk, pb, bananas or berries.

How do you eat that much? Don’t you get sick and bloated? I know after a bit my body just sort of doesn’t want to eat more and I feel like shit for the rest of the day. Sometimes I can try to fit 3Kish but that’s the absolute most.

Fair enough shakes usually don’t go well with my stomach unless it’s fruit juice like those naked drinks the protein powder/milk makes me bloated I’m not lactose intolerant but just something about it doesn’t sit well with my stomach I try to incorporate more food/juices

Finished my first week of the Madcow 5x5 on Friday, ate +3k cals each day and almost 1g / lb protein. After months of on/off lifting, I finally have the mindset to make progress.

Finished my week with a rest day and some work for a bit of money/income! Meal prepped and ate all of my 3k cals too, which wouldn't have happened a while back, but I'm so motivated for bulking/gaining and I hate being underweight! After months of on/off lifting, I finally have the mindset to make progress this time and really stay strict with the diet more than hitting the gym! I know diet counts so much more as underweight since I need mass no matter fat or muscle!.

I didn’t have to drink olive oil to hit my calorie goals
