I’ve always respected him. Even if you’re driving a rocket ship, it still takes incredible talent to achieve what he has. If anyone thinks he’s not the best driver of this generation, it’s probably because they wouldn’t even know which pedal is the brake.

Ruthless on track, hilarious off track... best of 2 worlds 🤷

I always respect him. But this season when he is not having the fastest car and with no team second driver to help him give him 1000+ respect points.

Brazil really made me a fan, bought a shirt and a hat lol. Before, I thought he just had the best car and coasted, but that drive was simply lovely. Always found him hilarious off the track, now I get how good he is on the track.

Honestly you should look at the stuff he did between 2015~2021. It was very obvious Max was a great driver pretty early on. Getting P4 twice in a Toro Rosso in his first year or Spain (first RBR race) or Brazil 2016 (same tier of drive as this year's Brazil)

Always been somewhat on the fence about Max. I'm Dutch so naturally it makes me happy whenever he's successful. I love his fighting spirit and driving abilities, especially when he's pissed off. But the ruthlessly pushing others off the track at certain times.. Not a fan. You can argue it's racing, and it would have been different in the 70s, but nowadays it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and takes the shine off his victories.

That extra gear he kicks into when he's crtiticized or annoyed is what won me over. He finds extra as an FU to his critics, like Brazil just gone and Miami onwards last year
