💻 Help firefox flickers even in safe mode

when i click on a new page or go back to the previous page, the browser frequently flickers. this happens even on safe mode and even when i disable and reenable hardware acceleration. how to fix?

Try updating your drivers and turning hardware acceleration back on. If the issue persists, please follow these steps to file a bug report:

  • Enable the "Firefox Profiler" button
  • Set it to Graphics and record a log while Firefox is flickering
  • It will open a page automatically when you stop it. Click on Upload Local Profile at the top-right corner and copy the link
  • Log in to Bugzilla and file a bug report with that link. Pick the Report a new bug in a Mozilla product option

thanks! I have now run into substantially worse problems that have made my laptop pretty much unusable but if I get my laptop fixed and it's still a problem I will attempt this
